Thinking getting one of these -> 2008 2009 CBR 1000RR CLEAR Integrated Tail Light / undertail signals 08 09 | eBay , but got the below comment from the USA supplier. 'make sure that your bike has a 2pin relay so ours will fit, we find that some bikes over seas tend to have a 4 pin relay set up, but if you have a 2 pin, ours will work perfect.' Anyone know if the 09 Blade has 2 or 4 pin? Vid of it here on Utube -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-Hd...st=PLIk2e9H8rxLe7CswXXWo76buLeefMhAvG&index=2
LED Tail Lights Integrated Sequential CBR-600RR CBR-1000RR CBR-250R F4i Ruckus - Motodynamic.com A few of the forum lads had a few from here including myself I ve had no problems with it.......... plus its just plug and play no relay pin isssues
Plus it has quick blink as you break.... Good warning feature As you apply break it flashes briefly red as it turn fully red if you get my drift ? Lol
it doesn't require anything......... just remove existing rear light and winkers and this unit has multi plugs for all....... pee easy Dec......... plus their after sales is top notch........... forgot the guys name who runs shop but he's a sound bloke. it flashes at same rate as mirror indicators......
Ah cool... cheers Rob. Yours is different to the one I'm looking at 'TST INDUSTRIES' but could well have curved my choice right there.
+1 for Moto Dynamic. Their sequential rear light is a good bit of kit and have no problem recommending them. Did have a fault with my unit and contacted them, they told me to send it back and they would repair it but couldn't find any fault. They replaced the whole unit anyway, this was well out of warranty and it only cost me the postage back to them (about £8.00).
Like the look of those, want to get one, but was going to ask the same question as sps, re MOT issue's
Place I work for won't pass them and I'm aware of other garages in the area who won't either, but not sure if it depends on the configuration of the static break light and flashing winkers or mardy MOTers'
Just came back from a MoT refresher course & asked them the question & like MrB said because of the light configuration it would be a fail I'm afraid
I think there is something in vehicle construction regs that stipulate that indicators have to be a certain distance apart. I would also think that although the Brake light 3 flashes then solid would be frowned upon. I'm lucky-ish, where I live there is no MOT, and in general so long as things don't attract too much attention like very small number plates, ear splitting loud pipes etc us 'law abiding' bikers get left alone....!
the indicators should be 18cm apart from each other at the rear of the bike to be road legal. however all the bikes I have ever owned in my life had integrated indicator and I never had any issues with MOT's. I guess you can always take it of for the time of the MOT and then fit them back on again.
I have just ordered one from motodynamics, had one on the last bike and it was great quality and easy to fit. I noticed that they have now made it posible to switch off the integral indicators or flashing brake light so should be a quick refit of the indicators come MOT time and then remove after as last time the flashing brake light would of been a fail as far as I am aware as it has to be constant and solid
The MOT laws are if you have it/them fitted they/it has to work. i.e. no spare wheel is fine but bald spare is a fail. Therefore turn off the indicator function of the inbuilt = no indicators and is a pass.
I followed a fireblade with one on the other day and it looked really neat. So much so I think I'm going to fit one......I'll doubt I'll have to but if I do I'll just flip it over come mot time, but as said I think just disconnect them and it'll be fine.
