Shock horror the "Sun Has got its hat on" so I'm heading Up't North if anyone's off be good to say hello along the way. Route, Rochdale, Owed Bets, Accrington, bit of M65 to Nelson the Devils Bridge on M6 36 off at 37 then up Shap road and across to Filling Station Cafe turn left at roundabout heading into town. It's the second sign off towards Keswick if coming from M6 past Reghed Centre. Short notice I know but "when its shining the whole world shine with you" LOL Laters Gaters Raymondo
Hi Guy's well I've just got to say you missed a blinder! When you wake up to this its time to get out the gleaming machine and get it dirty! Parked up outside Whoop Hall to take this shot! Got to love the lakes Devils Bridge was a little shy on bikes today You can keep the M6 I'll take the A6 & A66 any day of the week. Loving the Shap Road Destination Kierons Filling Station Cafe Twitter @FSCKeswick Keiron is a cracking bloke. And cooks a mean Route 66 Burger I took the easy way home via Grassmere, Windermere and the back down the slab as I was running late. But got back to the Wine Press (Fish) for the traditional ride end, Hot Chocolate and caught the Sun going down! Shot of the Day has to be & that as they say in all the good movies, that was that. Roll on the next Sun rise like today!
Lovely shots mate! What were the road conditions like? Was quite slippy york today in some areas, it either seems to be no grit and sliding or too much grit and even more sliding! Still fun tho
Fantastic Jap, looks as though you was handsomely rewarded for your effort to take a ride into 'gods country' Thanks for sharing............
Roads were OK wet but no ice. There was a bit of farm crap when I dropped down towards Kendal just did one junction on the slab going up 36 to 37 then back on the fun stuff missing Kendal town centre by dropping down SandyLane just after the pub/hotel. Weather was blinding. Loved every minute. It'll keep me busy for a few days getting our Jessie clean again mind LOL
Only bit of drama was a plank pulling across front of me from the right in a 4x4 Cherokee then getting arsy when I gave him a wan.... wave LOL Then heading down into Kendal a farmer came flying out a field on my left straight at me. No lid or gloves, proper hard like. He went white as a ghost and turned into the hedge. I didn't bother stopping PMSL instead.
Great posting Jap and thanks for the photos the run looks great ..We have a local up Kendal way Kevin who also likes a decent trip out on the Blade. Looking forward to meeting you on a Northern run or maybe one of these red hot sunny winter days we dream about .
Looks like a great ride out fella, only ride I got today was to Hunts to have my pants pulled down and my arsed smacked!!! Nearly £7 for 4 plastic fairing clips!!!
