What oil filer

Do these need a honda one. Iv heard of some bikes needing a original filter. For what reason I don't know but I took their advice. Anyway are hi flow / kn as good ?

 

I have only ever used the original one or a k&n filter, I usually used the K&N becuase it has the nut and I can lock wire it, where as if I need to lock wire the original I need a jubilee clip.
I usually pick up a 3 or 4 k&n filter pack that make them cheaper than the original filters.... Never had a problem running with them

 

I use Genuine Honda or K&N like Skippy said .

 

Normally use OEM, no reason really. I recently changed the sump plug with a magnetic one, be interested to see if it collects anything.

I ran OEM Honda last year but I would save a fortune using a HiFlo one. Im using about 10-15 filters a year and the OEM ones aint cheap at all.

 

been using hiflo for yrs,never had an issue.

in fact got 3 left if anyones interested......

 

I use Mann + Hummel filters, I get them from my local motor factors.
They are OE on VAG cars and commercial vehicles, never had any issues and they are cheap too

I'm pretty relaxed about the whole oil change thing, get through 2 genuine filters a year

Last one went on in August, bikes prob. done 6k on that one, and just over that on the one before - Sure the interval to replace the filter is really high (every other service or something?)
