Is it not the bracket on the top of the Hindle mid pipe photo that they are on about? Top left of the picture.. (Mid pipe)..
No this one, and none of my after market exhausts have had it so I would say just cut it off and forget about it as I don't think it's needed
Daz.. just a word of warning. I was going to buy these as well, but they have an OD of 2-1/4" Inch from memory, and most aftermarket slip-on cans are 2" pipe size.. so you need to buy a Hindle can as well! Larry at PDQ is selling them and will keep you right, but i'm pretty sure they are useless unless you buy the can as well.
well ive taken a chance with the feedback ive got from hindle and and ordered this system for my 2004 cbr 1000 rr so will let you all know if its an easy fit or not HONDA CBR1000RR 06 07 RACE Exhaust Headers Set stainless steel full system pipe | eBay
I would have bought these if I had the spare cash, they look great! Keep us posted as others have said
well its arrived and the only mounting point on it is the one on the link pipe the linkpipe outlet size is 57 mm so i will have to buy a hindle end can or make an adapter for the end so i can fit a 2 inch end can but thats not a problem
this may answer your question mate the ends of the header pips are round and slip on to the fittings sorry mate there are 4 of them i just tried to on for the photo
what will you do with the bottom mount thats missing? you could weld the one from your existing exhaust on?
well there on but not an easy job not because they didnt fit there was no problems there but because how the exhaust joins together very tight only problem now is i have to take them back off to fit new gaskets in the headers teach me for being a cheapskate and not getting new ones two cyl are blowing at the headers so i may as well put all new ones in but im not looking forword to it
