I searched high and low on google to see if someone had done this without any joy,so i have stripped my bike down today taking photos of each stage and i am just waiting to get the QS from arthur.(Top man arthur andvery helpfull.) I will post on here once i have done, i wouldnt say it was a hard job just a bit tricky getting some of the pipes off where you have to "squeeze and pull" at the same time(that made me laugh when i just read that back) You watch now i have put this on i will have the bike going in reverse and all sorts.I think the hard part is strippin it down which took approx 45mins.So if its a simple case of plug in and build back up and set up should be straight forward for anyone to do.I will update once its done.

You've done the hard part, once your shifter arrives all you have to do is plug in the loom to the plug top coils, connect an earth wire ( the starter motor bolt is a good one ) then remove the linkage install the new linkage with sensor and then setup the shifter as per the instructions.
Well my QS is installed and test rode bike ,what a fun bit of kit it took me back to the days when I used to have a twist and rip puch maxi ,as I used to pin the throttle on that everywhere I went,I found myself doing the same on my blade the only difference one did 30mph the other a lot faster.I think it is more suitable for track days as I could see myself getting into a bit of trouble if I don't carm myself down when riding the bike. It was hardier to install than I first thought,I was lazy and didn't remove right faring which made very little room to fit harness to the core plug connector on that side.i also had problems reconnecting the fuel line to fuel tank,I think I need smaller hands. I have it set on 55 sensitivity and 65 kill time,i need to test ride again to check settings . What do most people who have these fitted have there settings for mid range gear changing ? Thanks to Arthur for supplying it and now for my next mod??? I didn't bother posting pictures as I see someone is going to do a video.
Pleased you like it mate, as I said not just bling factor but the real deal bit of kit! And yeah it does tend to be addictive! However full throttle changes on a blade are never a slow affair....lol Make sure your foot peddle is clear of your boots in a just ride along position and the sensitivity is set to SHIFT when load is on the box and not before, kill times for mid range are often around 60-62ms if your looking for up round the red line then you can be down to around 52-55, if you feel the bike lurching then times need to be lower, if you find it hard to shift or missing gear (very rare) then they need to be longer. If you have any question just ask..
picked my bike up today after getting the hrc throttle and hm quickshifter fitted and i must say it feels like a different bike altogether. it feels so much sharper and the quickshifter is very addictive. i am looking forward to doing a trackday or even a long run on a sunny day
I didn't as the lads at hm quickshifter said they were going to do one which would of been a lot better but I don't think they got round to it , your best bet is try google or Youtube as I use that a lot if unsure on something . Its is pretty straight forward though just take your time or drop Arthur a pm of here very helpful and he might be alble to help
im a little stuck after taking the air box all off. The QS loom plugs they go in to, are they in front or behind throttle bodies (as if youre sitting on the bike looking down) ? looking at the plugs behind the throttle bodies (deep down where the tank goes), they don't seem to be the correct plugs for the loom. If you have time for a quick call would be really appreciated, just to go over this
Sounds about right especially if you have big hands like I do run the loom down the left side of the bike you have done the hard part then just a case of earthing it ,connect to gear shift rod then put it back together.Then playtime .
It's the earth that hm quickshifter recommend 10mm bolt that the earth battery leads goes to on the engine . If you look on the left side near front sprocket area just above a black cable with spade connection on which has a 10mm bolt approx 1 inch long undo that and put your earth there .
Hi, I know I'm being a pain, but I'm almost there. Not sure where the ground point for the starter motor is, but there's a something that seems to be an earth point with all the green wires attached, could I use this ?
Yes, that will be fine. Just make sure you keep all connections, chassis point and bolt clean, tighten up properly and then finish off with a squirt of WD40 etc over the connections. The route cause of many a pesky electrical fault is a shat earth connection.
I seem to have a problem after I fit the new loom in, the engine pulses like its miss firing, I double checked the order and that was fine, and I know it's the new loom cos I put the original connectors on and it ran fine. Anyone else had a similar problem? Or any advice ?
Where did you end up fitting your earth as I would connect it to the one hm QS recommend which was the starter motor mount as it could well be a bad earth . I would start there see if that makes any difference . If you are struggling to locate it I will take a picture for you But it won't be for a few days. . If it's still doing it try disconnecting the gear shift rod if that sorts it you have that adjusted to tightly as the pulsing could be the spark been cut as the QS thinks your trying to change gear . Also what settings have you set it to ?
