Saw Hawkwind three times at the Preston Guildhall and never did figure out what they were singing about.
I met them when they were recording down here. Out of the back of a lorry in a bloody farmyard. They couldn't release the album under Hawkwind as they were using different musicians. Some bloody funny Tic Tacs at that party.
With what we smoked it made perfect sense, but so did high waistband jeans white patch pockets jeans.....worn with an old bowler hat, trilby coat and ox-blood boots at Villa Park. I must have been a legend.........one I wish I hadn't remembered.
Blimey and I thought the eighties were bad lol! I do remember my dad having one of those big furry coats though
