Be aware to those who will use a single banjo from a RCS MC eg ABS your usual banjo bolt will be too long! The threaded bit not only needs to be M10 x 1.00mm but also the threaded portion should be no longer than 10mm long.

I had my forks upgraded with K-tech goodies at my local and guess what they had brembo short banjos bolts in stock, result!!!

Guess what I'm doing once the wrapping paper has been taken to the local recycling depot!!

A bling titanium M10 x 1.00mm thread 14mm up for grabs to the first person who wants it £2 gift paypal to cover PP. see here for actual item

The seller has removed all listing over the xmas period but here is a screen print of the bolt, paid £5.50.

I've noticed the thread is not perfect but it seems to be ok when dry fitted so reduced price to 1 UK pound just to cover the stamps (UK delivery only)

I have the exact same problem.
My double banjo arrived yesterday. I fitted it and it is to long. This is, I assume quite regular.
I phoned a friend, he mentioned he cut his down by 2mm. I would be reluctant as I do not have a nut to place on the thread before cutting.
I will let you give me the way forward.
Safest is to purchase I correct size.

If your only slightly off I would go with wedgie's suggestion of a thicker washer. The brembo MCs seem to have a shallow thread and will only take 10mm before the bolt hits bottom. Without the right tools I would reluctant to cut as you might damage the threads in the MC when refitting. Luckily my local have 'special' brembo ones in stock.

If they have the correct length for the Brembo M/C, could you give me their address details

    Cheers.

Aren't the Hel fittings slimmer and that's why people are having this problem?

You say it needs to be packed 4-5mm !!

Surely that would make the banjo a further 4-5mm down the bolt and not in the same area as the exit hole on the bolt or if
you put them the master cyl end they may not sit happily stacked as haven't got a nice shoulder on the bolt to keep them
    Perfect.
A nicely cut down bolt and then filed smooth would be the better and perfect fix.

    This is true

    OEM banjos 10mm
    Hel about 8.5mm

However its more of a case that you need to ensure you have a bolt with a thread no longer than 10mm.

Yes I have been in the same boat, Hel brakelines and Probolt race spec titanium double banjo on an RCS. It would just leak so its dounble banjos and standard bolt.

    Yep...me too.
As long as you clean the burr off, and dress the bottom end properly it'll be fine.
DO remember to check that you have sufficient thread left to secure everything.

I eventually got the correct banjo. All I had to do is go to my local bike shop. Simples.
If only I knew that before spending £20, on different sized.
It's worth doing it right, as this is the system that is stoping you.

Fitted mine today and mine is just slightly too long.

I have double HEL lines and using the correct three crush washers the banjo bolt just touches the bottom of the hole.

There was a spare crush washer in the pack so wazed that on and it tightened up OK but I suspect the banjo is just about touching the bottom now.

I assume when it does touch the bottom there still must be a channel or orifice under the Banjo Bolt stem to allow the fluid up the centre as mine bled out OK and feels fine?

I'm still going to buy the thick 2mm crush washers in wedgies link to give more clearance.
