Hi guys just have a simple but maybe daft question.

Is the RR The way forward all the extras. What is the sport pack I have heard of?

I just want to get the right bike for the money I am spending.

    Thanks Gav.

The sport pack was, when my mate bought a Repsol with it on, Akropovic road legal slip on pipe, hugger, screen and seat cowl. Think that was it, as to the value of it, the pipe alone is around £800, the seat cowl and hugger £200ish each and the higher screen is £150 I think.
As to the first part of your question, if you mean is the Fireblade a good bet, well hell yes. Don't think the new SP is worth the cost and Honda staff at MCN live told me there would only be 135 in the UK so it'll probably be hard to get hold of one anyway.

    Make sure it's a MY12+ Blade OP.

I notice that link to Hunts shows a Black Bike with a analogue Rev Counter showing it's a MY11 or older Bike.

It's a funny one this, in my opinion the Sport pack is a nice add-on and fairly priced. It would cost a lot more if you purchased separately. On a value for money angle, if every time you look at the bike and say Wow I love it, and the Sport pack really sets it off, well that's worth the extra money every time. But if you are thinking resale value that's a different animal. I think the Sport pack will make your bike 'easier' to sell but you won't get all your money back. Your blade is a Luxury purchase don't take the edge off it if you can afford the extra. But don't buy the Sport pack to increase it's value.

    Good Luck, Mike.

Yes, I know its an old link - thought it might help GavWilde who asked what the Sports Pack was. I presumed he was buying a second hand bike? (Sports Pack not available on new bikes)

Thanks Ian for the info, looks like I bought quite a few of the bits with my bike anyway. I'm debating between Akrapovic or Yoshimura at the minute so helped with the photos. Cheers Ray

I went with akra , its great quality and a good fit. I went for a Honda one as I didn't want any warranty issues. Look out for a second hand one on here.
Note there is a difference between abs and non abs models. Graeme walker on here was selling one, not sure if still available. Cheers Ian

Update - or you can get a new Honda Akra one here http://www.hondaofbournemouth.co.uk...krapovic-titanium-slip-on-muffler-11-12-15724 20% off at the moment. £782 delivered.

Cheers Ian I've been looking at the Akers but the only thing that bigs me is seeing the pipework under the bike were as the Yoshi has a cracking heat shield that hides it all. I'm a pedantic git when it comes to my pride n joy LOL

Save money and weight without a cover! I think the pipework looks good.
