Well it's goodbye Showa rear shock And hello new Ohlins Well it will be when it arrives in the morning, only taken 20 days to get here !!! Bah Xmas hold ups !!! Guess who's going to be up bright and early in the morning waiting for the postman
I had one on the 954 i have just sold.... it was designed to perfection, when put next to the standard shock it was obvious why they cost so much.
Just covered in salt and road gunk from my last ride at start of December !!! Not a big fan of washing stuff.... Dunno if that shows
I'll have to get it set up when it's fitted, I got the suspension set up a couple of weeks ago, but once again I guess in the new year
Hey Tom.. just fitted mine last week.. same swap as you but haven't found a good enough day for a spin yet.. Top tip.. take off the clamp from the preload adjuster to get the shock into place from under the swingarm.. then re - attach once the shock.is bolted into place. Picture of mine fitted on the new Dec pic album on my profile.. can't wait to give it a run!
That I don't know....I assume it's got a standard spring on it.. I'll have to find out...I'll send an email and ask what weight it's set for..
Still waiting for Santa to bring it ....it's been sat in the delivery van at the depot 4 miles from my house since 1am Saturday morning.... I walk my dogs past the place almost daily !!!
Forgot to add.. cover the shiny parts in masking tape to prevent any scratching. . My tape was jet black after I finally got it through the swing arm with crap..
