Well as some of you may have read 10days before Xmas the bank call to tell me my card has been cloned and bank cleared out, they then froze my accounts while fraud investigation goes ahead.
Well I now have a letter from the mortgauge (which is through my bank I must add) to say I have defaulted on my mortgauge!
So a phone call to politely explain that the reason this has happened is because they have chosen to freeze my account including my wages that just went in on Friday only to be told once a default is on there it can not be removed!
    W@nkers!
My credit is now gonna be shite and this could of been avoided

Sorry for you Martin, banks are all the same, loyalty counts for absolutely nothing! Been with my bank for about 35 years but don't bother changing 'cos they're all as bad as each other. Paid £3000 in the other day and they charged me £20!

I think if you can prove it wasn't your fault and your bank can prove it, a note can be put next to it on your credit file.

I ruined my credit score because I had got a new Iphone 5s and O2 makes the phone 2 credit files, one for the phone and one for the contract, also changed my bank account from cash card to overdraft account to get free phone insurance.

Because I then had high credit activity, it give me a lower score !!!!!!

Business account! They have different rates depending on how you pay in or out ie; so many pence per £100 (66p I think) for paying cash in, so much for transferring by bacs, so much for paying a cheque in. Surprised they don't charge me for walking through their door!!

Yea they said they can put a note but what that means from what I understand is I will be declined credit at the start of an application but then can fight it which takes extra time and is just a load of unessesary ball ache!

Sounds a pain, hopefully it will get sorted soon. Banks have become a bit of a nightmare to deal with as they seem very slow, but they do usually get it sorted.

Don't accept that response from the mortgage side of the bank. Keep everything in writing, ask them again to remove the default and if no joy go to the ombudsman. I believe that you are not allowed to be left worse off due to actions like this by the bank. Good luck and don't be afraid to name and shame as I'm sure the rest of us would like to be forewarned of banks with crap attitude when it comes to things like this.

I will put in writing and see if that gets a better response, as firebloke says they are all the same at the end of day

I cant understand why the bank froze your Direct debit/Standing orders, (assuming your mortgage was with the same bank/bsoc) assuming no risk to them making false payments to an unknown 3rd party, they naturally have records of payments made in previous months.

Snotty letter time to the, Branch Manager, Head of Customer Services, and CEO of bank, if you do not receive a satisfactory response in 14 days.

You may laugh at my suggestion of writing to CEO, but it can sometimes have a immediate reaction, I know this from making a complaint, some time ago to a big PLC company, (I had been given the run around by customer services for weeks) Problem solved in less than 5 days

When daughter was burgled 2 months ago she cancelled her cards at 9am Barclays the dumbshits didn't think it worthwhile to tell her that 1 x £200 and 3 x £100 had been withdrawn on that card at a petrol station at 530 am and they have sent her a £12 late payment fee! needless to say the police not too happy either as there was CCTV available which has since been recorded over.

Well I have written some snotty letters to send round as suggested by Brad, basically saying how pissed of I am with the way I have been treated and how it has ruined my Xmas and made it very difficult to feed my kids, the stress its caused etc.
I have said how I feel they could have helped out a loyal customer some how who has everything with them etc
    Lets see what happens next
