As soon as you replace that bent bolt the front will lift too, it's the exact problem I had mate. What's happened is you have wound that bolt in too far.
Get yourself a replacement bolt mate and if not too far I will give you a hand to set it up if you want
I haven't touched it since the weekend and I just went for a spin on the bike to test out a new lid. I wear kevlar jeans and the sticky outy bolt thing was annoying me at traffic lights ... so it's not for me. It's a nice idea and I'm sure if you have a garage with space then it's practiality outweighs it's compromises, but in a small storage unit it's rarely going to be used, so I may as well pass it on. If anyone would like the whole assembly including SteveBetts custom made plate + bolts then it's all yours for £100.
Here is a really posh stand I just found....yes I know it doesn't have wheels like the constand and is more suited to someone with a decent sized garage,,,, But...it's a nice piece of kit.... MZ Select - Gallery 4 - Gallery 4 And probably expensive and un-available in the UK too
Blimey......... imagine the mess if it all goes wrong.....!! Good looking kit though......... looks like a bridge engineer designed it !!
I know Martin, you have it on yours and the forum will club together to buy it ...seems like a fair deal
I'd like to see how it connects other than the pins into the engine mount tube to get it to rotate to the different angles ...
I too have a Constand and like most it won't lift the front wheel. Limited adjustment on mounting plate as the forward mounting points cause the stand to hit the gear lever. Have tried setting it up on paddock stands so mounting plate is in correct position, drop everything to floor, fit stand and raise, front wheel still on floor :-(
Nice bike Martin. Been looking at lifts/stands and saw this one..... Motorcycle lift - YouTube Look fantastic but probably way too expensive....
I've got what I believe is a copy/version of the constants stand, branded as Tech 7 and I bought it from demon tweaks or somewhere about a year ago. When it turned up the mounting plate would not allow enough adjustment to allow figment, which seems to be a common complaint, but nothing two minutes with a drill did not fix. There is loads of adjustment on theses stands if you know what you are doing, so I don't understand people not being able to lift the front wheel, mine lifts both front and rear around 4inches clear of the deck.
