Having a little difficulty locating the diagnostic plug, after reading countless threads everything is telling me to look under the battery on the ABS model, however on removal of the battery the only red (well more like orange) plug i can see is this. This plug was taped to the side, so i removed to tape to gain better access to it and found it does having a blanking cap fitted to it, which is also mentioned in other threads Pic below after removal of cap Now even i know that won't fit the end of the GIpro connector, so either that isn't the diagnostic port or something else is wrong. There is no other connector blocks i can easily see under the seat or battery. Any Suggestions welcome ?
On my 09 blade, the diagnostic plug is different but mine is non abs. I cant see why they changed the plug but hey!
That's the thingamy-jig you need to short with a jumper wire if you wanted to bleed your C-ABS. on abs look here for the DLC http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/3495.htm
Cheers Si, i did get the cap off no problem, so if this is the diagnostic port that means i have been supplied the incorrect GIpro as the multi block connector is completely different
You do have correct plug and GI pro.......... but that's not the correct bit on the bike...............keep searching
I agree Rob, I just can't understand why they make it so damn difficult to find Cheers for the help guys, i will resume my search tomorrow
its very dirty in there.........have you any holes in under tray ?? looks like muddy water marks round battery and fuse box ?????
I followed those instructions for my rr7 and after not being able to find it under seat I discovered mine was located under left side front fairing, nightmare ha ha!
Must be the photo Rob it looked clean under there, although looking at the photo it does show the back of the fuse box looking a bit dusty. Strange the cover was not on the diagnostic port, but all the underneath covers are in the correct place, only thing I can think of is I have no back mudguard fitted and it could be throwing some road dust up
