Well that was a proper Sunday morning assault wasn't it. Great to meet everyone again, what a great lift on a wet January morning. Thefirebloke Repsol Will and I arrived here just before opening And already, a crowd was beginning to gather. There no need really, where a friendly bunch Barney misread the invite and thought it was fancy dress. So he turned up as a Hobo Raymondo & Beckers. My how we all laughed. Well, almost all Dave d's old scooter I took a closer look at one of these. A cracking time ladies and gents thank you Always nice to see you all, new and old alike. Thanks to all the contributers for the pics, making this once again a memorable occasion.
What a cracking morning! Always good to meet up with old friends, and a couple of new ones! It'll be interesting to see what Ray made of us as I believe it was his first meet, the first of many I hope. Jason was looking like a racing snake in readiness for his forthcoming racing season, and in direct contrast, a few were showing signs of "figgy pudding" over indulgence! Only problem with such a good turnout is you don't get chance to engage in conversation with everyone, no matter, I'm sure there'll be plenty more get-togethers over the Summer!
Jim, while all around were ordering "the full monty" Jason ordered scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms! Now there's commitment for you!!
Took my lad along today......in the car on the way there he wasn't happy, asking him why ? He wasn't looking forward to meeting my " dodgy forum internet geeks" ! On the way home, smiling like a Cheshire Cat , he said he a great time and my mates are a great bunch people...... I did ask if he just had breakfast with the same reprobates I've just eaten with As always, great to meet everyone old n new n here's looking forward to the summer !
Yup I thought the boy was having a good time ,and thought it was nice that CBR1 was offering him some sweets and was telling him he had some puppies at home .Still buzzing and let's get out soon as!
I didn't know he was your son Andy..... I thought he was your younger brother..... (that'll be lunch on you next time we meet)
Evening Folk's! Well what can I say? What a cracking morning. It's never easy slotting into a forum meeting as a "New Boy" but I was made to feel welcome so thank you all very much for that. The banter was top notch, the company brilliant and I was happy to listen to all the big plans for this year. I mde a full Sunday Roast when I got hometo rack up a few "Track Day Tokens" with Mrs Raymondo I only took a couple of photo's once I saw all the Big Gun's coming out so here they are. This is a CBR1000RR, there are many like it but this one is mine I arrived a wee bit early, just not used to the speed I guess Gutted I missed the Group Photo but I wanted to get 150 miles on the bike ready for the service tomorrow. Headed up towards Southport, got tail gaited by a plank in a Freelander. Opened her up a bit as I rounded bend heading towards M57 and this light Blue car got up close and personal. I wound her up and slotted in front of car in middle lane, plank in Freelander starts tailgating Blue car till the BLUE Indicators kicked in...."Such FUN!" Anyway Rivey Bar was full of walkers and Busses! So nobody missed much there! I managed a nice 175 mile round trip and two black coffee's. (Lost 5LB in 5 days so Happy Day's all round) And here's the only photo I took with a bit of Sun in it! Blink and you would have missed it. Great Meeting, Great People, Just need to know "When's the next one folks?" Oh and will anyone else be on a Blade next time?
Glad you enjoyed it mate, top bunch the northern boys! Always made us feel welcome when we've been up. Although, they can be a little slow on ride outs and you'll have to get used to getting your photo taken - they do like a pose
I tend to photograph my bike as I'm an Ugly F.... LOL Had a bazzing morning & looking forward to the next one.
I'm booked on the Ron Haslam Race School in May and really looking forward to it. A big box to be ticked off my todo list.
Get yourself down to a trackday Ray and just see how it works, costs nothing to get in. Keep your eye on the trackday section, if nothing else it's just another chance to meet up!
