Off to buy a torque wrench

    I bought one from screwfix with a 1/2 drive a few years back and I think it was less than £20. I only use it for chain adjustment.

    could have done with using my one today - then I would need a new RH front caliper...

    Part of the caliper fell off

    Nipping up the retaining pin and over did it and the housing part the bolt tightens up to broke off

    So that's another load of hassle to sort

    Nipping it up? what were u jumping up n down on the Allan key? :D

    It was an Aldi Allen key - still surprised it broke off mind

    You'll get another OEM calliper cheap enough mate.

    Thanks Colin - contact made with my source of parts, plus ebay hunt - they are out there, just annoying as I'd spent an hour cleaning the pistons up before I fecked it!

    It could still sting the wallet a bit mate, there are quite a lot of single older model calipers available but the 08+ are mostly still sold in pairs and also a bit costly!

    A replacement could still end up with sumat snapping!

    no huge rush Colin, was going to get suspension serviced at Kais this coming weekend but can put that off - also need to get rear wheel bearing replaced so few jobs
