I might be wrong but it looks like the mountain section of the Isle of Man. If so I wasn't aware that there was a speed limit and so why the Police guy was stopping them I'm not sure. Stepping into the middle of the road seems like a really stupid thing to do though.
Police in the wrong ! Poor visibility, forcing a motorcyclist to stop without any thought for other road users, he was lucky not to be killed and cause the death of the motorcyclist IMO
I watched this on the No limits page earlier. It soon became apparent on reading, the stop by the police was actually a stage for a road safety film that was being produced. Could have had tragic consequences. After 30+ years driving cars, he briefly forgot that an emergency stop on a bike involves using FRONT brake too! Luckily, nothing seriously hurt but pride...and his bank balance!
I was told by a traffic police officer that there is a 70mph limit on the mountain, this 70mph limit is used as a benchmark to gauge what offence or fine should be applied if you have or cause an accident up there. So if they work out you where doing 100mph then the fines or offence are based on the 30mph over the limit. However, after speaking to friends who live there they have never heard of this so I think the policeman was talking bollox to try and scaremonger.
Yes, not a lot, if any, of front brake used there. Guy in front stops OK so no reason why the Guy behind couldn't.
