Anybody using Renthal grips if so which compound, is it a personal thing or down to longevity? Also looking at the Kevlar version. People's experience/suggestions appreciated. ps bike is not used on the road Thanks Dan
I have used the medium, Soft and Kevlar multi compound. Found the Soft to be the best. Does not last that long. Well over a year for me but then again they are not expensive had them on my speed triple and now blade. Love the feel and grip they give me. for the money you just need to try it. I would be surprised if your don't like them as much as me
One of the first jobs I do on a new bike is to cut the grips off and replace them with Renthals. I love 'em. I just use the Mediums.
Yep, I am with Remal on this one, the soft is the best. I use them on my race bikes and they are superb. Not expensive, loads of grip and they are easy to replace too.
I've been using mediums on my last 3 bikes, love them, I tend to rip the softs apart during a 3hr endurance race or was it my teammate
Thanks for the replies guys, one more thing I'm gluing them but do you normally wire them as well, if so where do you get it from? Cheers
I use progrip. Great soft grips and last for donkeys. As for wire, its just general lock wire as used for oil filters/sump bungs/etc. Any race shop should have it or perhaps some diy stores too.
Ah im not sure on types. I use this kind :-D Ive no decent pics of them on the blade but heres a snap from last years racing 600
I use the grey Renthal grips not sure if they are medium or soft but at 12quid a set you can replace them as often as you like. I find they grip really well with any gloves. I use Renthal grip glue to fix them and they haven't moved an inch since fitment a year ago
use hairspray. Does the job cheap but I also lockwire mine as well. have used the grip glue but found the hairspray works just as well
