Amazing product but it's a bit of a treat and guess who has stock ;o) it's the ZYM1875 Zymol Range | Car Care | Performance | Home | Demon Tweeks ;o)
Thanks for that , think it may be wasted on my £400 Chinese Repsol special though. Fab shine though on that winning bike
The zymol concours wax is about double that for a 226 gram jar! The higher end of the detailing can really hit your wallet mate!
My tub of concourse lasted 8 years, got it in 05 and it ran out last year so it's really not that bad. Thought I'd try the cheaper Glasur this time.
They can get pretty nuts tho really! Zymol Destiny Wax 226g £533 Zymol Atlantique Glaze 226g £1146 Zymol Vintage Glaze 623g £2239 Zymol Royale 1412g £8350
Absolutely, why I thought I'd try the cheaper option really couldn't see the difference between the £170 odd quid Concourse and the £100 quid Glasur, apart from the Glasur seems a bit thinner so may not last as long. As for those prices, just ridiculous and clearly aimed at people with more money than they know what to do with. ETA - At least you get a lifetime free refill with some of those !!
Tbh most folk can't see any difference from a £20 wax to a £200 one! My newest purchase for my ever growing collection of stuff was victoria's concours wax which is meant to be really really nice n wet looking with about 6 week lifespan!
That's about the only major difference I can see is how long the wax lasts not only on the bike but in the tub, the Concourse does give a very deep wet look shine and does last very well wash after wash as long as you don't use anything that's likely to remove it like a shammy leather. Early days for the Glasur but the reviews where good, pleased with the finish so will see how well it lasts. I've built up a few layers. These are all Concourse. work in progress by (MrB), on Flickr Untitled by (MrB), on Flickr Untitled by (MrB), on Flickr
I feel a "Group Buy" coming on... ONE tub between you ;o) And maybe nominate Mr B to do the graft - Mighty fine examples there Mr B ;o)
Well I looked around, did some research and plumped for the Collinite 476 at about £18 with applicator and MF sheet. Seems to get a good write up and have uber long durability. I'll let you know how I get on with it.
It's a good choice Jonny, the tub will last for ages and ages too! did you buy it as a complete kit? Do you already have a pre wax polish for use before the 476? I have got its liquid(well its a thick liquid) version collinite 845, it works really well and I am sure you will be pleased at its longevity just try and put it on as thin as possible as it can be a lil hard to remove when applying too much product. It works well on cars over the winter too, allowing most of the muc to just rinse off via pressure washer. But I turned more to sealants (finishkare 1000p) than waxes as got annoyed when the dust gathered on the water beads, where as the water drains off a sealant so I tended to have less dust gather on the car. Im sure remal would also appreciate some pics of the vehicles all waxed up.
