    Hi guys,

Time to renew my insurance cover. Been to a few comparison websites and prices look good, however...

I am not after the cheapest quote. Looking for a company with a good "after sales service" such as customer services and most important good claim service.

Anyone prepared to make any recommendation?;)

Try Swinton, from my experience customer service is good (but never had to make a claim)
I think most companies/brokers,will be curteous etc when giving quotes, but you never know how good they are until the time comes when you unfortunately have to make a claim, may be stating the bleedin obvious, but you pay's 'your money and your take chance'

I'm with MCE £159 fully comp! Can't argue with the price but you do tend to hear some horror stories about them.

Carole Nash always seem to get good reports.

I would avoid swinton like the plague! I had nothing but problems with them, they auto renewed despite me cancelling, tried charging a cancellation fee for the cancelled policy, an absolute shocking experience

+1 about MCE, normally the cheapest but charge 40 odd quid for making any changes to your policy - not had to make a claim thank fcuk, I can't imagine what their customer service would be like if I did need to claim

Anyone made a claim with MCE? - good/ bad/shocking/pull your toe nails out with rusty pliers?

    thanks guys.

I have looked through gocompare & confused.com. bennetts comes up cheapest by a long way.
MCE is also cheap but put an excess of about 1200 (yes!) which then they wans to sell an excess waiver insurance to cover this!

Looks like most of you did not have the misfortune of making a claim which is great.

    any opinion on bennets?

    Give Adelaide Insurance a try.

They are in Belfast but have won award for customer satisfaction etc and they guarantee to beat your cheapest quote by 10%.

I have been with them for the last two years only £400 excess. £16 for policy changes etc.

I got my renewal call today and to my surprise it has actually dropped by a big margin compared to the past 3 years, fully comp, helmet and leathers, personal injury cover etc all for the sum of £263, last year i was over £500 with same cover and same insurance company

I also found bennetts by far the cheapest <£140 fully comp + protected NCB. Very tempted not yet decided though as I am not sure what they are like dealing with claims and abt their CS.
I also found out it was slightly cheaper to insure my two bikes separately compared to multibike insurance.

Just did a quote for mine today, Bennett's also came up cheapest £135 w/o protected no claims (pnc) or £147 with (pnc) for fully comp

Currently with Swinton till the end of this month and haven't had a renewal quote from them yet but considering I was paying £200 for my GSXR1000 and when I changed in August to my Blade they wanted a extra £100 for the pleasure I don't think they are going to come close

Wrote a bike off whilst insured with Bennetts and it all went smooth enough. Can't remember all the details of dealing with Customer Services as I was concussed for a month but didn't have any hassle.

I have now starting using these guys, very very helpful and really know there stuff with good prices too.
Sorted out insurance change over from old insurance to my new SP no problem and no trouble for them to sort it with the underwriters, highly recommended.
