those billet resevoir are trick to say the least !! but ive decided no one will really see it anyway so a plastic brembo on a short tube behind the heal plate will look tidy and wont break the bank! cheers for the link though pal. rich
damn that looks trick also! is this ok with an mot? where didyou get the bracket that holds your carbom heatshield to your rearset?
Love the billet reservoirs, you guys are nothing but trouble now I have to find some extra money to buy one, in black of course. I like the tubes too.
The L-shaped brackets are available on Ebay: click here You need to get one if you wish to keep your exhaust shield in place after removing your pillion pegs... I think most people on here with RR4/5/6/7 have done this.
Yeah, those reservoirs are ace... although like matey above said, would be largely hidden behind the heel plate Personally though, I think the green tubes look total cack, but each to their own... I'm deffo saving up for a billet one, even if I will have to keep directing peoples attention to it coz they cant see it!
Gappy, I don't think the billet one will show very much on mine either even though my heel guards are quite small, I will have to check. At least it gets rid of the reservoir so will make the rear end a bit tidier.
I take it you've removed your pillion pegs then? Really bugs me the way I'm now left with an butt-ugly piece of tupaware hanging from my sub-frame, spoiling what would otherwise be quite a clean-looking rear end. Also a shame it's going to cost the thick end of £150 to sort out!!!!!!
Has anyone thought of using the Brembo m/c off a RSV4? Also, loads of Katooms use exactly the same part. I picked mine up for nowt on ebay (it came with RSV4 pegs, I just took the m/c off and sold the pegs on) Looking at them, I recon it'd go in no bother...just need to check the distances between the centres of the mounting bolts. Nice bit of kit imho, and it has the integral reservoir just like that sexy billet jobbie above. Let me know if you want pics.
How long should you have the tube for the correct amount of fluid? The one I have is quite long. Oh er mrs lol
smeg ... i have the l shaped braket on the top, im on about the bracket at the bottom that connects to the footrest? ...the tube i think looks trick for £8 .. and as no one will see it i think itll do. the billet are the bollox but £150 or so gets me some more bling elsewhere
Ahh, yes... please post some more details!!! Did you post this tip before? I seem to remember reading it (whilst drunk!) and making a mental note to follow it up... but forgot! I have standard foot rests and brake pedal installed... are you saying the m/c will work with standard pegs/pedal?
what resevoir is that haggler?.... im sure the amount of fluid in the original tub is 15cc? is this right?
As to how much the tube holds.............who cares!!! as long as there's enough so you don't have to keep topping it up every week. The reservoir came from ebay........£15 plus the postage with the pegs too.
