176 at the wheel out of a standard engine?? You need a HRC head for that kinda power surely?!?

Dyno figures fluctuate massively. There are so many variables to consider, ambient temperature, grip generated by the rear tyres, dyno type. Aslong as the several runs they do give consistent power/torque and fuelling figures that's all that matters. Honda bench dyno engines in laboratory style conditions and get the figure at the flywheel so if you are reading 176bhp at the rear wheel then that would equate to over 200bhp at the fly. That engine must have had some serious internal work done to it.

Why I asked if they where done on the same day. I have had my kit car dynoed at 2 different places and gave me a 25BHp difference on the same engine at the same time of the year.

My dyno on my blade at JHS racing which do a lot of the fast bike readings came out at 161BHP. as the engine is approx 175 at the crank I was more than happy with my result

Yep that's a pretty realistic figure. Mine came out at 157 on the same dyno. More importantly they sorted the fuelling out as it was all over the place before. It's definitely worth having a re-map done if you've got a PC or similar as it has made my bike a lot smoother and responsive.

Infact the suns out, I might take it for a blast and remember how responsive it is.

is yours standard? I have a K&N filter, Bazzaz and Yoshi R77 to make the 161bhp.

And as you said once it is remapped it make a huge difference in the power delivery

Both bikes same day same place one after the other. At track electronics.
No internal work defiantly not he wouldn't even no what a cam did!
That is honestly the tuning they have. There was another one there with a mewhew head that done 192. Now that had work and it showed.
I'm not disappointed he said it was average for a blade. I'm not a power freak I like to brake hard instead. Next I will spend on brembo discs I think.
Just thought I'd post up results.
Have to say he was shocked the 2010 was so high for standard. Me to lol and all that powers wasted on him ;)

Did you get graphs you can put up fella? Would be interested to see the power/torque curves on the 2010 bike as that is probably a record for a standard blade :)

Yea we did il get him to send me a pic of it. I got mine at home il get it up tonight. I have to say he would have run it in to the correct mile and changed oil every trip, not revved it past 10 thou more than twice etc. it's not a stressed , worked , abused or intact used engine lol. Would be interesting to see if the akro was better than my yoshi

sometime the thrashed ones are the ones which make the better power! Does seem odd theres such a big diffrence between the bikes, the 2010 did have a lighter flywheel though over the 09 didnt it.. Should make a peak power difffrences though

that's the difference mate, you hit it on the head, road tyres against slicks.. slicks stick to the dyno once warm and slow it down

I dunno mate about bolloxs,Smithy and Hussein can ride well both were pushing each other. I just followed em.We were out in the middle of nowhere.
Smithy said his was the fastest out of all the bikes there on the night as he does:rolleyes:.Hussein disagreed. They had it out along a dual carriageway thats where I went past the pair of em.Had to shut him up:D
