Hey SW! All that weight on the back of an ABS bike fitted with a hugger? You've not had a problem though I take it. I've got the same set-up but I've removed the pillion foot-rests. Be interesting to (temporarily) stick a lump of 'Blu-Tack'/plasticine on top of the hugger to see how close it gets to the ABS cover under hard compression. Nice 'Merk' btw. What engine's in it?
I'll second that, excellent group. El-nicko, Have you been forgiven for giving away all their "big tank" secrets?
Ha ha, yes I ruffled a few feathers amongst that little clique didn't I. One in particular definitely didn't like my 'Open and above board' disclosures/photo's about how to enlarge an 1100s tank. I got a lot of PM's in support though and not one 'dissed' me, and that pretentious tosser don't post on there anymore It's a great forum and even though I don't have a Boxer at the mo, I still visit 'cos they're a good bunch of blokes and not up their own arses like some other BMW sites I could name. BTW, nice bike. Just like mine. Nick.
Yes Nicko my Hugger does get Twated by the ABS cover now and again, more a light 'Kissing' than a Twating! It has to faint Cracks either side but U can hardly tell and it's a price I'm prepared to pay for the asthetics as for me no other Hugger comes close in looks to the OEM one. It is annoying as Honda could easily modify the OEM Hugger for ABS use as there's acres of room underneath it so it would only need two scallops moulding in to the existing design for all to be well. (3.0 Litre V6 Diesel re-mapped to 265bhp BTW )
