I've got a nice set of PRCs on the rims that wedgie sent me for the R6. Haven't seen much use and still in good shape. Was wondering if anyone had tried this tyre size on a blade or 6" rim on another bike?? The size 180/55. I've read elsewhere on the net that people have used them without any issues. They are just to keep me going until I can afford to get a new set for the blade in the summer.

    Cheers

Mate I stuck a 180 on my old blade at a track day as I got a puncture only tyre that was available Not much difference mate TBH 55 gives it a wider profile anyway . Road bike I'd go for it use it try it I think it will be fine bud

I'd use it as well, but wouldn't not buy one, if given and tight for cash I wouldn't have a problem using it, I seem to remember that the 04-08 R1's roll out on 180's

It might turn a little quicker with the 180 section tyre compared to the 190

great tyres ntec 212 but you need a few laps in ,to get up to optimal temp but the pirelli seem to go straight out of the blocks when tyre warmers off imho

I ran a couple of 180's on the Blade that were left over from when i owned a zx6r. Seemed to make more sense to use what was left rather than sell 'em as I fit my own tyres.

TBH I couldn't tell any difference, although I'm no cornering guru.
