    Seeking help of any heating engineers :bow:

    I wondered why the heating had not switched on, so I went and checked our combi which is a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24i.

    It had a fault flashing which was;

    2 flashes of the reset button (Red) then 1 flash of the blue button before it then restarts the process again.

    I reset the boiler and switched the central heating circuit on; the fan starts as normal then you hear a woosh, the fan keeps on going then after 17-20secs you hear another woosh (almost like it's trying to start but not igniting) it does this 3 times before going into fault mode again!

    Any ideas??????

    Don’t know about the fault codes Barry. From past experience check the water pressure, it drops over time. There should be a tap somewhere to top the system back up.

    Was just about to say the same FOC. My boiler did exactly the same.

    Your pressure should be around 1.5 to 1.75 bar.

    Barry is there a pressure gauge on the unit? If so it should be above 1.

    Thanks for replying all. When I saw it wasn't working, I checked the pressure gauge and it was reading at 1 which was still in the green zone but I did top the pressure up just to be safe. I switched it all off then restarted it, but I still have the fault :(

    Hi ShinySideUp, No gargling at all, just the fan going then a woosh but does not fire up.

    Temp has been 10oc today with bright sunshine, it's now 4.5oc with no meaningful wind.

    Undid the pump inspection cover and the pump moves freely, switched on the system and the pump screw was turning, so pump looks good.

    Found the issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I checked gas pressure earlier by checking the gas hob which worked without any issues.

    Just checked the the stop cock in the cupboard and found that it had been moved to nearly closed but not fully closed! Opened it up fully, reset boiler and retested without any issues :)

    Was gonna say check the gas is on, read further and guess wot? I would have been correct if you hadn't found it first. Most importantly you ain't gonna die of hypothermia tonight and we lose another member.
