Well, after last years European Trip to Spain and France, Euro bike virgins Gary and Jason came back absolutely buzzing, so much so that they wanted to re-book there and then! How time flies and here we are again, spaces reserved on Plymouth ferry to Santander.
We're doing it a little differently this year, duration of trip is slightly less at 10 days instead of 17 and unfortunately Alblade won't be joining us this year as he's made other arrangements, although we won't completely rule out a guest appearance by him!
Joining myself, Gary and Jason will be CBR1 (Craig) and Repsolwill (Will). Not sure about Craig but Will is a two time veteran of the Pyrenees and will also be supplying the van that will carry the bikes down to the ferry.

Same as last year nothing in the way of accommodation will be pre-booked as this worked well the last time and creates more of an adventure feel.

McDonalds and Lidl will not be tolerated during the trip with fine dining and tapas our staple diet. :D

Nothing less than an hour for lunch and numerous coffee stops throughout the day :D

Knee-downs and wheelies are to be encouraged as is excessive speed! :D

So as you gathered from the last trip, this is all about enjoying ourselves, relaxing and having the biggest laugh possible involving bikes!

    Riders are;

    thefirebloke
    GaryB
    Jase
    Repsolwill
    CBR1

Roll on 7th Sept to 17th Sept!!

This page shall be edited as new information concerning the trip comes to light

God I've love to come on this but Wifey will Divorce me if I book out else.

Already booked a Tour of Southern Ireland in May, doing the TT, then our annual Yorkshire Bitter Tour, then Jerez in November, never mind every Track Day I can do in the interim!

Best ramp up me Google Adwords budget to get some more work in!

Nice start off to the thread Steve.
For anyone reading, To be fair , the buzz has never really left us, friendships were formed and experiences were shared and concerns were banished.
Since we got home from last years trip there's hardly been a day gone by where one of us hasn't text, phoned or stuck our fingers up etc.
I know the veteran tourers will be rolling their eyes a bit, but honestly, I got more out of the trip than anyone could ever begin to imagine, and the fact after reading about our European exploits two? other members wish to join us for this years adventure and the fact i am able to do it with them all again is just, well its just amazing.

Martin, we're budgeting around the £1500 mark, sounds expensive I know and we could probably do it for less but the places we stay in are really nice and there's no expense spared when it comes to eating out in the evening.
I'm done with grabbing a burger or pizza, I want to sit down and relax and eat local delicacies. I've also been known to enjoy a glass of fine wine or two with my meal ;)
There's also a few costs included that aren't too obvious ie; full breakdown recovery, set of new tyres, travel insurance. The ferry is a large part of the cost at around £350 per person.
For myself,Gary and Jason , it was worth every penny last year.

It varies from day to day, most we ever do would be around 300 miles. We don't use motorways and every road over there is a twisty! Some guys concentrate on getting from A to B and travelling as far as possible but for us, as soon as we set off each morning it's like going for a Sunday blast! :D
Down time from the bike is just as important, socially we have a fantastic time, always taking the mick and having a laugh!

Looks like there'll be a trip every year but maybe a different destination. Spain is always a good choice because the roads are awesome and generally quiet and cop free. Also the weather is mostly kind to us.
Italy and Germany are on the cards at some point.

If i understood correctly? we're having a little get together at the end of the month. "Tuesday 28th January" was mentioned, just an evening meet with a couple of 'diet' cokes and a chew of the fat.
If any other Norverners are in the vicinity and wish to pop in?
Can't remember the name of the venue where we settled on though.

Sure we will update before the event. :)
