You pay your money and you take the risk with these types of leathers fella. $700 is not far off a known branded suit price really. Looking at the pics in detail you can see some areas where stitching isn't great or very straight.

There is that place in Essex that does new and used suits and good prices and he's always getting different styles in if price is an issue :)

    '1st Place' For Motorcycle Clothing

If you get a set would be interested to hear your opinion on them. Good luck whichever way you go ;)

Don't read too much into the fact that they are made in Pakistan. The reality is that 95% of major brands have their products manufactured in Sialkot as production costs there are so much cheaper than anywhere else. Bespoke tailor made suits tend to be made in Europe or wherever, hence the increased cost, but there is some very good stuff that comes out of Pakistan.

It is the quality control of the commissioning firm that you need to be happy about.

    Alpinestars are made in China..

Ive seen these, they look the same as the ones on Ebay which are cheaper.. Plus those do custom sizes as standard. I would look in to it as could be the same company behind both of these perhaps?? Just done an ebay search and cant find the ones I mean now.. grrr

Not a big fan of race rep leathers as if you change bike and don't buy the same replica bike your stuck with a set of leathers that stick out like a sore thumb!

Have had friends buy similar and changed bike a couple of times in 5 years and had to change leathers each time, not cheap

Yes I do agree SPS, plus you never know how good these "cheap" suits are until your sliding down the roadand then its too late!!

Honestly, I bought some of these second hand recently, I have sold them on, stiching was coming undone in places and the main zip and one leg zip had failed :( the quality of the leather was good and they looked like the real deal, but I would not recommend them... although it could be they were not well looked after.. they did apear new.

I have got lucky and bought a second hand set of Scott repsols off a forum member, and scott leathers have always been great quality. Maybe keep a look out on ebay and here for a set to turn up and you should get a much better deal :) or see if they will make you a set think they were circa £800 new though

Shanes is a member of this forum and has fabulous suits made to measure and in any design he can think up. He rates them very highly and I seem to remember that they cost a fraction of the normal price ! I can't remember where they are made (not Pakistan) but Shanes is not short of a shilling and I'm sure he would not use these suits if he wasn't 100% happy with the quality. I have seen pictures of him wearing them and they look great.

If you PM him, I'm sure he will be happy to give you all the details.

What you say is true, but I cant see myself changing from a Repsol for a good few years, but I would like to change to a later model next year.
Plus I can always sell any Race Rep leathers
