Anyone fitted sliders to protect fairing etc. I noticed the R&G ones need some fairing mods, simple to do or not ??

Yeah easy to do but just make sure you double check where your going to drill the fairing. R&G sell the right size drill piece.

Some of the later ones now come with a pointy headed bolt to make an indent from the inside of the panel, helps mark where to drill the pilot hole. You'll find on these that the bung butts almost right up against the fairing too, handy in case the hole isnt perfect.

Mine arrived in the post today. No pointy bit so a bit of paint on the end of the bolt should do. Still gonna be nervous drilling holes in my mint fairings tho.

popping some bluetack on the fairing so when you offer it up with the bolt in place it will make a mark and drilling the center of that.
