What do you prefer, would you rather modify your bike and copy a race replica style like these
AD Koncept Honda CBR1000RR Playboy 2.jpg
    TT-Legends-CBR-1000RR.png

or would you rather go down the custom route like these

I think they all look amazing but for me the custom bikes win just brcause they are a little more unique

Think the tt legends pips it for me a but IMO you'd always be hard pushed to beat that scheme....

Although I think the first of the customs is proper proper nice.....

Interesting you didn't use the repsol as an example? Guess just a little too erm, common I guess! ;)

I like the red and white custom but my next choice would be the TT

A good custom looks great but it's very hard to design something which beats a good race rep imo.. The layout of a design on paper doesn't allways translate to the bike so very tricky to do well.

Although I would not have one myself, I think the race reps look really good, especially the TT Legends.

Personally, I would prefer a custom paint scheme as I like to be different. I agree totally with Lambchops that it is very hard to come up with something that beats a race rep.

IMO it all has to flow with the lines of the bike and of course the colours have to go with each other, the manufacturers have skill in this (most of the time lol).

On another note I wonder if the 2014 repsol is going to be done in the new repsol motogp scheme? Hope so..

Defiantly prefer those custom bikes to the above race replica's

I think you just have to be careful with custom designs as sometimes people just take them to far and loose the lines / shape of the bike.

Less is more sometimes if you know what I mean

The TT Legends is a fantastic looking scheme, but apart from that, I cannot stand race reps, especially those with a "shopping list" of components listed along a flank...... its all too reminiscent of 18 year old wannabe boy racers in their "DIY-styled" Corsas/Saxos.

I say if you have the funds, and more importantly, the skill and vision to design a good custom scheme, then do it! I agree with other posts though, I don't think your average joe would be any good at designing a cohesive custom scheme, and would most likely churn out an offensive mess...... probably best left to the pros!

I do like the white with red on the 3rd pic. When i respray my track fairing I like to do something different rather than race rep. plus race rep is harder for me to spray and out of my experience lol

There is pros and cons to both, I like some of the custom paint jobs but you always wonder when people sell them if they have been in a smash! TT legends has got to be the best rep paint job for a while for honda

It's a special looking bike I must admit, rc30 was my poster bike.... Followed by the 45. Was the foundations of my love for Honda, hence the vfr purchased on half my take home salary 1st job out of college! It was mustard then and love it more now. Also reason why I love the tt legends so much, it'll never date! It's a classic already on an awesome bike with equal heritage - the blade!

For that reason, I declare a draw ;)
