Well as we well know these Weather forecasts are generally shyte and change daily. The night before about this time is the most reliable indication of the following day. ................we shall see!
I am chomping at the bit here fancy this one and the 19th February with hottrax and the 22nd February with NL but the weather is shite don't mind the cold just don't fancy cold/rain . When you booking J night before .
Doubt I'll even book Jase, just turn up on the day if it's sumat like. Can't see it being over subscribed can U ? We can always have a Barbie in the back of YT's new Shag Waggon!
I'll be keeping an eye on these dates myself, if the 7th is a washout I'll definitely want to do another real soon!
That's me booked on weather is saying dry and a high of 1c not going to break lap records just want to test a lot of the stuff I have done to bike the last few months including see if the QS is ok as not tried it since my problems in Jerez with it . Also have a Aim solo laptimer so be good to have a play with that .
Oulton will need all the help it can get to get a dry line so my heated grips will help to do that as at 1c there won't be much heat about that's for sure . Tell you what though they get very hot so when you can't feel your hands after your first session I will let you have a go.
Says 7 degrees here in afternoon! Weather forecast for Oulton Park Circuit | Motorsport | United Kingdom
Bike won't be ready till 10ish Tom so will get up mid morning hopefully. Fecking Cars been in the garage today having some 8 Pot Brembo's fitted off an E63 AMG and the Car won't be ready till 9 Tom either so it's all gone a bit Tits up but I shall make it come Hell or High Water even if it's just to watch!
Only about 20mins away on the bike, and here its really cold and heavy showers .good luck boys it may get better.
Well Bike was still fairingless (old one's put back on) etc at 10:00am but managed to get to Oulton by 11:30! First run out after lunch managed to get 3 corners in before my Clutch started slipping badly, had to pull over on track at the run off area at Knickerbrook and wait to be recovered. I then noticed my new Brembo Clutch levers hidden adjuster screw had unwound it'self and was not engaging the clutch. Managed to remove it using only my ignition key as a Tool and get back to Pits back out for one lap and that was that! Second session my fecking Steering damper came away from it's mountings under the Triple clamp and was rattling about on me newly painted Tank FFS. Anyway it wasn't an issue so thought Fek it and carried on. Back in Pits both M6 Allen bolts had disappeared either on Track or buried in my engine somewhere so though Bollocks, going home now. I probably only did them finger tight when re-installing the clamp after fitting the Renthal Clipons and forgot to torque em up so my own fault. Goes to show if U rush to get a Bike ready for a TD then stuff falls off it and U look a Great to see everyone and roll on the 19th when the new Fairings should make an appearance!
