Hi, is it possible or has anyone done it, reduced the height of a cbr 1000 2006 by shaving n shaping the foam of the seat. I've recently acquired the bike n I'm basically on tip toes 2 half the balls of my feet. I'd like a bit more foot in contact with the ground n would rather use a lowering kit as a last resort. Hence I'm asking the feasibility of reducing the height via the seat? Any advice would b most welcome.

The best thing to do is get a lowering kit for the suspension linkage.
Shaving anything from the seat with make it even more like sitting on a plank.

How about replacing standard shock with an adjustable length Nitron or Ohlins? Two birds , one stone!.
