Freezing cold today and blowing a spunky whale. Also very dark, looks like some heavy showers on their way.
Lucky down in the South East, its got colder, but apart from sporadic downpours, not suffering like a lot of peeps elsewhere, can't imagine the trauma of having your home flooded out. On the bike side, its was bloody blowy last night, the Blade does not like crosswinds, weaves around like a bitch on heat.
I used to live at the back of Snodland/ Birling area right next to a great fishing lake.Just been told by an ex neighbour that the lake is starting to spill out.Poor sods. My intuition was right,to move away from water.
What a bastard it's been , Telephone rings your on call , 16.17pm yesterday we are out , 16,000 people with no electric , , 10am this morning the same , But by 1500hrs 70% back on , trees down , floods , roads blocked , Now I'm home after a 23hr shift , and........... My dog pens are no longer in my garden , fence panels broken and missing And the ridge tiles (7) on my roof are missing , .... So yes we've felt it ,
Never seems to stop raining down here, more storms on their way tomorrow and weekend. Lots of flooded roads and homes, fields look like vast lakes....absolute nightmare. Guess the bike will be staying in the garage for yet another couple of weeks at least. Looking forward to summer.....if we actually get one!
Just waiting for South Eastern Water to start dropping water restriction leaflets in around September time............................
not too brilliant in aylesbury either! my fence is down, next doors ariel and dish has gone through my conservotry roof and i had to wait 6.5 hours to be recovered the other night when a brick went through my sump cant wait for the summer!!
Drove from Grimsby to Reading and a quick stop in Farnham last night fully loaded honestly wasn't too concerned other than the A15 I never contemplated pulling over.
Lets be positive....You can nip through the gap in the fence to get to your neighbors, you can watch TV in the conservatory and you won't need as much oil in your engine due to the brick in the sump saving you money...everyone's a winner!
on the bright side if the rain keeps up for much longer, my car and bike will both sail through their MOT…. gnar.
Spare a thought for the poor buggers doing their ACU today at a very open and windy Cadders. In fact when's yours?
Had a little wander around this morning to check out the damage. Saw this, started drifting towards home...
weather isn't as bad here in belgium as the UK, but otherwise we'll jump in the bang bus and ride down ourselves, 5 of us and only 1500 miles, piece of cake mate with a few trays of stella
