I know I know but I've not heard anything yet so thought I would start a thread to discuss what peoples thoughts are for next years blade.

Will Honda may more slight improvements like they did for the 2012 and 2014 blades. The latest being the biggest change.

I am hoping for a a good looking blade as they have been for years. But something more keeping with the other manufactures changes they have produced.

I for 1 have been hoping for the past few years for some thing big, like they did with the 2008 blade.

At some point they have to make big changes ( I know the current bike is awesome) but they do need to keep up with the pack and hoping 2015 will be a major change for the better I hope

It would be good to see Honda make some improvements along with Yamaha (R1). Imo the Blade lacks a little low end power and over all bhp and again imo traction control would be a great benefit with some weight loss......

You would think that with the BM s1000rr selling so well that Honda would now step up to the plate....

Will they??? I very much doubt it...

I hate all the bull shit electronics half the time you never know where to set stuff then you ride and it plays with your head keep it love the blades raw setup more power would be good but shove the electronics my s1000rr just use to piss me off that's why I'm back on the blade it's a better short circuit bike by far and a much better road bike people will big up the BMW but they are just joes Honda made a bike that kicks ass just look at the TT speaking of the TT can't wait to see how she rolls this year!

I doubt it as the road version of the rcv 1000 is expected out next year so I think all development will focus on that. Its no secret that yamaha are doing something special with the 2015 R1 so I think that 2016 could be the year for big changes

^^^^agreed. I remember seeing somewhere that for 2015 it'll be much the same cause of the recent release of the SP. There maybe some slight game changers from other manufacturers next year which will pave the way for a new Blade come '16

im with you. ihate all of the shitty electronics. if i want to wheelie, i want to wheelie, i dont want the bike trying to control it :p
i think the only nearly necessary bit of electronics is abs.

I agree all the electronics settings do my head in . Test rode a 1199 and get bored before I left the dealer settings 1 to 8 for this and that and then the. Bike felt like a posed tractor ,jumped on the blade happy days doesn't need all those settings.and saved 6k.
Hopefully new blade in 2016 as I have only just got one !

Maybe they will get radical, and redesign the Blade with non detonating fairings every time you try to remove them......that would be a step in the right direction IMO. No point in things like TC when every time you look at it, it cracks or lugs snap and an ABS system that can be maintained simply rather than a days labour, especially when it becomes mandatory fitment.

8 Years is a huge amount of time with only minor changes i feel. even car manufactures have bigger updates in less time.

    Come on Honda.

re the leccy aids I have ABS and TC, changeable maps on my handle bars via the Bazzaz and not found it make it any less fun to ride. I have had the ABS work for me at least twice so worth it for me. TC has saved me once on track after a slide due to to much throttle on a corner at Anglesey. May have looked good to my mates who seen me but still brown paints for me.

So I don't think Leccy aids makes a bike any less fun to ride. With all the power we now have on road bikes I feel some of the aids are needed

My money would be on same as 2014 with a few tweaks, or possibly same as the SP but without some of the bling such as ohlins.

I would have to agree, not so much with the abs because if im honest ive never needed it or been in a position where it may have assisted me. TC on the other hand i feel works and works extremely well, i had it on my last bike, it was very simple to set and i know it saved me more than once and i never found it intrusive. You could also switch the TC off if you wanted to...

The fact of the matter is all these aids will be added as the years go by weather we like it or not, whats more important to me is if we have the option of using them or not...

Can't see any big changes next year, Honda normally makes their changes to the Blade every 4 years, with an interim upgrade in the middle, and colour changes every year - although the 2012 changes were not as significant as the move from 04-07. So expect 2016 to be the next change, with some different colour changes next year.
