Does anyone use this and what's it like in general?

Would it be a way to get to MotoGP for viewing as I won't be paying BT on top of my Sky subs

I've used it now for a good few years, when used in conjunction with various other bits it's a complete and pretty awesome home media centre - recommended - i'd recommend using SickBeard too to automatically download MotoGP as soon as it's available...

Went and had a look at what you guys are talking about. There is a whole geek world out there, reminds me of "Live free or Die Hard", there is even a guy called Womble!

Sadly the geek stuff comes naturally to me working in IT. It is a pretty cool system though if set up correctly, I get all the latest american dramas and film releasees (often before they are in the cinema over here) autonomously with a nice interface that looks smarter the the Sky Guide. It just works!

Used to use my Xbox as a Media Center Extender, but the new Xbox One doesn't have that functionality (yet) so having to use an app called Skifta to stream stuff from the PC (in the study) to the TV via the Xbox. Works pretty well tho. I do all the downloading manually tho via Usenet - much safer than torrents these days...

My setup is very similar. I am using a Streacom FC8 full of SSD drives for my media centre so my lounge is nice and quiet; NAS is remote :)

Flash git .... I've just got an old PC ...

Changed the GPU for a modern one with passive cooling and will eventually do the same to the CPU. It doesn't get stressed much
