Probably because it's a bit of a daft question Stu? Err.... it has the following: Speedo Tacho Trip Mileometer Turn Indicators Hi Low Beam Oil Pressure Engine Fault Lights HISS etc etc All the standard stuff one would expect? maybe U could be a bit more specific in your Q?
What do you want to know mate? I can tell you it doesn't have a lap timer, gear indicator or fuel gauge. Compared to the newer Blades 2012 + it is lacking but it does have avg mpg, and gallons till empty though edit gallons till empty it's actually how much you have used of reserve, IIRC you will run dry at 0.9 gallons but never dared venture pass 0.7
Spot on J, but does it really have oil pressure? Learnt something myself if it does- How's it viewed?
Missed one! You get an extra light with the ABS model that flashes on and off to tell you your brakes are fooked Its 50/50 whether you notice it or not before you ride into the back of something stationary.
Tas a Red light which comes on when it's below the specified minimum pressure. It'll be on automatically when the ignition is on but the engine is not started.
Ha, knew that but thought you meant something more special like actual pressure not the red light that means "your fcked, engine completly out of oil too late dumb arse" light.
Not tried it on my blade, but have seen plenty of examples where oil isn't even registering on a dip stick and the pressure warning lights haven't come on.
Therein lies the problem the engine oil pressure light is not directly linked to the oil level, yes if the oil gets too low you will get low oil pressure but normally by that time the pistons have overheated and melted n gouged themselves into the block or some other grenade type explosion occurs destroying the engine! The oil pickup is usually lower than the minimum level on the dipstick and as long as the oil pump can keep a constant flow of oil going through itself and into all the various galleries it will be able to maintain oil pressure and the light will remain off, but the reduced amount of oil means it will have a reduced cooling/lubricating effect hence why the pistons and/or cams often melt into the engine when the oil pressure light comes on while still driving for any length of time! Oil level is not the only possible cause for the pressure light to come on either. Using the wrong oil grade for the ambient temps can cause drops in oil pressure too as can running with oil that has not been changed for really long periods of time due to it getting thicker from carbon and soot deposits mixing into the oil making it thicker!
Yea for sure I always check my oil. But if your pressure dropped while you were on a run and the light didn't come on until your engine is basically fucked then what's the point of the light
Thanks for this. For ages I wondered why the number was raising one day during a race... thought the tank was buggered ha ha.
