I know the basic principle obviously. But what's the difference between a pull quickshifter and a HM quickshifter?/

Theres some from dynojet going for around 140. The HM QS is over 300. Whats the difference??

Would I want pull or push for standard gearing setup??

Dynojet cuts the fuel. HM cut the spark so much better for your gearbox

With the Dynojet q/s only the bottom injectors will stop 'firing' when you shift. The top ones will still be squirting fuel into the cylinder, which will still be burning, etc, etc. So your drivetrain will not be completely unloaded. From my understanding, the HM version, completely kills the ignition, therefore unloading the drivetrain. I have just got an HM fitted to my R6 and have only tried it very briefly, but it seems to be super smooth. If you are going for one, I would personally go for the HM as this is the advice I was given.

HM works both ways. But for standard gearing you want pull

I would try running a race shift pattern, as this is a lot smoother to run with. I wouldn't go back to standard now. As for the push/pull, I am not 100% sure, but think you would need a push version for a race setup.

Also hm has no moving parts, some high tech sensor don't understand it but means should last much much longer..

don't buy the dynojet one, it'll wreck the gearbox, whether within 1 yr, 2 yrs, but it definitely will. spend that bit extra and buy the HM. you can take these to your next bike by only buying the loom if needed. You might even need the iginition module from dynojet for the R6, check into it... My mate has ruin 2 gear boxes on a R1 big bang with dynojet QS. he has since bought the HM and has no problems

Plus.. As hm cuts spark and not fuel get a great noise and some flames when going back on the gas as the unburnt fuel is ignited! :) that's me sold!

you'd be looking at 300-350.... maybe one can do you a deal for some stickers on the bike or something. I've got someone doing the same. I get everything at wholesale price for some stickers and mentions. doesn't cost him anything really and makes me happy and he even has had a few deals out of it, so win win really.

I think there £375 + £50 for the bike specific wiring loom. He also does second hand quickshifters in good condition.

    Mark,

I've not long bought one off Arthur for my ZX10 and it cost £375 delivered including specific length Shift rod.

It's easy enough to fit, just need the Tank and Air Box off so you can plug and play the ignition feed connectors.

Then there is a 5 min setup procedure on the LCD display bit to set up the Kill and sensitivity times.

HM + all day long unless U can afford the GP version with seamless shift! :D
