    Decided to club my thumb today, winced as you do.Threw it down the drive then felt the glove go wet.Pissed blood everywhere.Thought this don't look good.Pulled the nail passed the skin about 6mm.Went to local A+E and they put the nail back in.Wife said I squealed like a pig:rolleyes: IMG_52684130220922.jpg IMG_52694487062964.jpg

    Top of the thumb behind the nail feels like I have cut it. The nurse strapped the nail in place and told me to keep the bandage on till Sunday.The nail should have set with the dried blood underneath by then.I have to keep the nail short just in case it catches.On Sunday I'm shooting so thats gonna be fun.Will take another piccie when I take it off.

    Bruce Willis or James Bond would have been tortured like this with all their fingers and still escaped to beat up the bad guys. Serious ouchies, have you thought of using a foam kiddies hammer?

    Ouch Mate that made my toes curl.

    You will probably notice the onset of a bout of Man Flu over the weekend, quite normal after trauma.

    I once trapped my thumb in a car door, and the pain it caused as the swelling was slowly pushing the nail off my thumb, was excruciating. After 2 days of agony I threw in the towel and went to A&E. A small puncture through the nail with a white hot needle released all the pressure and I gave out a very audible "Ahhhhhhhhh...that's better". It's not hard to see why torture using finger and toenails is very effective...

    Nooooohhhhh I can't have that.I'm carrying on working no time for any sniffles,just a bit cockhanded though.
    Just changed a battery in a Renault trafic. What a ball ache that was,it had all the bloody tools on the passenger seat so had to work round them.Bolts on terminals and hold down plate on the left hand side:rolleyes:

    Ooh feel for you,done the same myself but waited a week to go to a and e ,heated a paper clip on a Bunsen burner and popped the nail bed,best relief ever nail dropped off in three days gw soon bud .fuck me this did hurt me tho image.jpg

    That's gonna be even more sore tomorrow. I had my toe nail removed and that was sensitive for weeks, it never grew back the same lol.
    Its changing the dressing that hurts the most. Any luck the blood is making it look worse and you get to keep the nail.

    try not to hit thumb with hammer...lol



    you may want to try a lower cal on the range mate... 4-10 maybe.... or say .22 if riffles your bag...lol

    It hurt just like the last black nail, Feck!! Was yelled then just got on with finishing the job until the glove was wet.Then realised something wasn't right.2 days on it is a niggling pain like a cut on the flesh behind the nail.
