Mot question

    If you change a new bike into a track bike do you have to get a separate daytime mot to go on roads even tho bike is exempt for 3 years.wedgie this is your field any comments.

    No because there is actually no such thing as a daytime MOT, they just give you a normal MOT with advisorys for lights etc

    I wouldn't have thought so.

    You'd just need to make sure that your bike complies with the stipulated regs applicable.

    Yes I agree Martin only advisories on sheet but would I have to get the test for this if it's a new bike

    I believe as long as it has the the essential bits, I think horn and brake light you would be fine.
    Not sure if brake light is one though

    Your covered buddy as it has a full mot anyway the no lights fitted at time of test can't be added as they were when it's new . Even when you take a track bike for mot it's given a full mot with a advisory no lights fitted . It's up to you to know conditions are not light and get home . All you need is a horn and number plate that's it nothing else
