    Watch out for fake generators on Ebay! Just googled Honda EM 4500 and there's a warning of cheap Chinese copies. They reckon they run fine enough but not putting out anywhere near the power they claim to!

    Yeah, the Pikey's like selling these out the back of their White Tarmac Vans.

    They go bang a week or 2 later and that's that.

    I only run honda gennys on catering vans but buy genuine honda if your serious speak to mark at hart industries Hartlepool mention me and you will get a good deal.i have bought plenty off him I had a em4500 which I ran 7days a week 364 days of the year at b and q Sunderland with out a flicker but serviced monthly had 7500 hrs on clock and traded it still grafting today so he says,keep off Chinese shite and machine mart shit only get wat you pay for

    Was looking at Machine Mart gennys, you reckon their not much cop Graeme from experience or opinion? Fancied the EM4500 but a little put off by the fakes as was going to buy secondhand.

    Machine mart are ok but won't last long believe me I have used gents for years with catering vans on a big scale,genuine honda is the only way you pay but they last,speak to mark at hart industries tell him you spoke to d and g catering lovely bloke cracking service I have used for years but all my gents run on gas cheaper and cleaner

    Like me if you plan to use a generator just for trackdays /racing then a generator from Machine Mart will be fine and for the money you can't complain .Sure there are much better ones on the market but as I don't use it that much and it's really a back up if I can't get electric at the track so didn't really want to spend to much just for it to be sat in my trailer unused .

    If using for hours every day then it's worth investing in a decent one but just the odd occasion then IMO the ones from MM are fine .
