Hi there i have fitted a giro ds to my 2003 b1h plug into diagnostic plug and away you go .... Not for me . So it counts up the gears 1 to 6 clonk it int first and it shows first thats all in any gear. Had a look on the net and put it into learning mode flashes L then 1 so put it into 1st and its meant to blink faster and go to 2 but it doesn't just stays flashing 1. The bike does not have a clutch switch but i had the old switch so fitted this and its still the same . All i have done is changed the kill switch to a HRC thats all i can think of anyone come across this any known problems that i haven't saw ? Thanks Lee
I think you need to clear it first, then in the learning (L ) position and thenfirst, rev up to 4000 and it will blink faster and go to 2nd and so on If I can remember correctly 5 or 6 times the kill switch on off, something like on 1, 2, 3, off, on 1, 2, 3, off, on 1, 2, 3, off, on 1, 2, 3, off, on 1, 2, 3, off the back on then put it into the L if not shoot me a pm in about an hour and will have a look when home, should still have the instructions in the garage from the R6
Cheers bud yeah i have done that about a hundred times now and it still isn't playing ball won't recognise the gears
here is how to reset it her is how to install it this is for the x type, but knowing gipro it'll still be te same set up
knew it was something to do with 1, 2, 3, 4 if it doesn't work send me your email address and I'll scan all the pages in for you
Cheers mate it's loaded to have a sigma fitted tommrrow mike from biker discount said I might need to install the sprocket cover as this has the speed sensor on it . Thanks skippy appreciated bud
no worries mate, very easy set up rodders, I've even done it on the grid after finding on the out lap that it was stuffed due to having to change the battery. I'll keep the instructions with the radiator Lee, always handy to have it with you on race/track days! I don't need it anymore as the blades got a built in one
They are usually really easy I think it could well be as I have removed my speed sensor it's getting no input to ecu
For anyone else with a gi pro gear indicator like me who got second hand here are the instructions http://www.healtech-electronics.com/docs/GPX_UsersGuide_en.pdf
