    Right Guys and girls
I know it will ultimately come down to me but I would love your opinions on this:

Everyone knows of my trials with my ABS and my hatred for all the extra faff that goes with servicing because of it.
So I have spoken to Paul at Dobles who has worked out a deal for me as he knows how disappointed I am that I chose ABS instead of standard on my 2011 Repsol.
He has managed to come up with a deal that is £15 a month cheaper than my current finance (still 30 months left) on a 20th Anniversary blade with a anni edition Akropovic on a new 14 plate.
With a trade value in that eliminates the negative equity I'm in....sounds great so far don't it?
    But
Other than extending the finance for another year (poor family) it is only available in the RED! don't get me wrong I do like the red but its not Repsol is it?
Should I do it, opinions and any feedback on this 20th anni model would be great!
    Cheers

Tough one mate, i can only give what is my opinion and that is, i wouldn't do it. If i didn't get a repsol blade i wouldn't have one or would have sent it off to be sprayed in the repsol colours.. However im very particular on my race replica's and it really does mean a lot to me obviously...

But this is your choice, a big one at that and as long as your happy with your choice then thats all that matters......

    Good luck...

Get some Chinese repsol fairings and put the originals bubble wrapped in a safe place.
    See it as an investment!

Or you could find a 2011 non ABS Repsol owner and offer a swap.

I currently have a 2011 repsol on a 2012 plate, would I swap it for a 2014 bike of any colour, another years finance and an increase of £15 per month NO financially you are chasing you tail for a shiny new pin you don't really need, give it another year on what is a fantastic bike and keep your debt to a minimum.

Sorry, I know you want me to say go for it but debt for no reason is crazy
    Just my opinion?

Hmm I see your point but considering I kept my last blade for 90,000 miles and 14 years and serviced it myself for all of them.
Im hoping Ill see the payback within a few years. i.e. try to bleed the brakes on an ABS and see what I mean!
btw £15 less and Im in debt already...and unhappy with bike too

I'm with Matt on this. I came very close to buying a non-Repsol blade last year, but I just couldn't do it. I've wanted a Repsol for so many years and I just knew if I went for any other colour, that while I was out and about, whenever I saw a Repsol, I'd always still pine for it and be a bit sad. I would never be satisfied unless it was a Reposl....

But me and Matt are obviously Repsol loons - if you ain't as picky as us then it sounds like a good deal to me...

I said the swap idea as i have a 2011 non ABS. I am a very hesitant as I am worried by the problems you have had. I know it would be a financial benefit to me but......
    1. I would need to take mine back to basic as the mods seem personal to me, some like carbon frame covers are a pain to remove.
    2. mileage of yours?
    3. Tyres on yours?
    BIG 4. The ABS problems

Interesting deal that dude was offered a similar deal to that myself but decided against it for the time being going to wait until August when i have the money to buy the new bike outright having had bikes on Finance before I didn't want to go back down that road. Finance is not a bad thing however but to be perfectly honest with you mate if your heart isn't set on the new bike because you like the Repsol colour scheme (which I understand as my wife has a Repsol CBR 125R and it looks ace) then don't change for the sake of changing.

If you ABS hasn't given you a problem this far then there's no reason to say that it won't hang on whilst you shop around for the new bike that you want. It's too easy to be impulsive believe me I know that's how I wound up with 4 bikes at one point lol.

Keep it! The abs is very, very good when problem free. We could walk you through the bleeding if needs be.

Haha, Could you walk me thru the bleeding?

We've got a bike that doesn't do as its told as per the bleeding procedure manuals!
Doesn't go into bleed mode or erase fault codes when told to either in fact it flat out ignores external inputs!

You could take a bleedin' course. Gain a skill and save some dosh; In the long run.

Mine's been mint since it was bled properly by the Stealer.

Not put a foot wrong since last Summer.

It would be far cheaper just to get it bled properly and then run it till the finance is paid off.

Sods law says if U swap out for a non ABS, the following week some 'owd Dear' will pull out on U at a greasy/wet junction, you'll panic brake and bin it and she'll be oblivious to all this and chug on on her merry way leaving U in a heap of plastic bits on the deck!
