If your really unhappy with the ABS Zip I would get shut and like Martin says get some Chinky fairings why not get the new repsol colours like Paulbusdriver looks mint rare as well! if your after a set of fairings worlds your oyster theres loads out there Castrol, legends, playboy, simmoncelli, rothmans and my favourite Carrera sunglasses 1

    happy hunting

If you are not satisfied with your current bike you should do the deal!
Otherwise you newer will enjoy the full potential of your current bike.
After that you should have a look on ebay for a repsol fairing kit....

OK! thanks for all your opinions.
As of 21:49 5 March I have done the deal for a new 2014 plated Anniversary edition 'Red' Blade.
Paid the deposit agreed the deal details and Im dropping off the Repsol and picking her up on Saturday.
Im a wee bit excited to tell the truth, not to mention getting a CBR with a Akropovic on at last.
Thanks for all the comments peeps, you guys really helped.

Ps: will my 2011 tail tidy (3 bolt affair) fit the 2012 tail??

Zippy, if I am reading the figures correctly, it's a saving of £450 over the current finance deal, but then an extra 12 months at an unknown amount, to trade a used bike you are unhappy with, and have been in some issues as are well documented.

You then gain 2 years warranty cover, and if you cannot service the brakes yourself another 100 quid or so labour averaged over a year for bleeding.

So by the time you factor the £450 against 12 months payments of an unknown value and then determine what if any value a 2 year warranty is worth to you, and then factor current costs of consumables, ie how worn is the tyres, chain, brake pads, discs, how long to next service etc.

Then what is the true cost of upgrading to a new bike?

My guesstimate is that it's not costing you mega bucks, and lets be honest, the red scheme is a lot better than some of the bland sh*te Honda bestowed this model of Blade with.

Seems like a no brainer to me Zippy.

Is it still not playing? Have you made sure the brake lights work?

I had trouble getting into bleed mode at first but it was because my sequence of lever pulls wasn't fast enough & the last pull of the front lever wasn't hard enough.

Listen to the wise words Zippy, if you have to ask the question you already know in your heart it's the wrong thing to do. Stick with what you have, at least until you don't need to increase your debt and monthly payments. Just my opinion, oh and and Carl's of course.

    Opps......to late.

    Like this post a lot!!
The bike is due its 12000 mile service anytime now (Big Bucks)
the BT023 tyres are overdue replacing (Pr3 to but next at about £300)
The Brake pads are done (I just bought replacements to fit this weekend ironically)
Chain is tarnished due to road salt from first winter and would of replace in summer for a gold one (£130)
The scratches on the right panel from my frost slide make me cry so have been keeping an eye on ebay (£250)
Scratched and bashed pulse cover too (£100)
these are the thing I need to do, rest is a wish list!

As I had no deposit I currently pay £267 pm for a blade who's braking system 'I don't trust 100%' the new one would be £245 with good ol fashioned brakes!
The above reasons are why I have taken the plunge, and whilst I will miss the Repsol colours...I do have a sneaky feeling that a Camel Honda Motogp scheme is on my agenda once the finance is paid off so not too miffed :)

Thanks to everyone again...Im well excited about getting the anniversary model. I personally preferred the styling but it came out 2 months after I bought the Repsol.
    woohooo...roll on Saturday 4pm

Normally I'd say I don't like the red, but that does look like a sweet bike Zip. I don't think you can loose out on that deal.
