cleaning tip .

    hi just got my 2013 blade out of hibernation and the black frame , bottom of forks basically everything that's black has white deposits on could be mould ? , a barsteward to get off any ideas to clean off. bit disappointed with the cheap finish from Honda.

    Hi Castrol bike Polish is good stuff and will also bring up shine .:cool:

    thanks bob , i use autoglym conditioner great on the paintwork but wont shift it , but with it being a matt black engine etc it looks crap , i think ill give sdoc100 a go .

    once cleaned off silicon spray brings it all back to show room condition

    have used Silkolene but my current fav is WD Silicone spray - it smells just soo good!!

    Try a car detailing all purpose cleaner be sure to dilute accordingly and agitate with a brush

    Wash with Sdoc 100 then apply ACF-50, worked for me.

    Keith are you near the sea by any chance?

    One of my old Hondas did this in my garage near the sea and I think it was early corrosion. With my 2012 blade I rub acf50 over everything apart from the discs with a rag and it keeps it from happening.

    Dont think its cheap finish mate, more likely you didn't prepare it for a lay off..........

    I have the white spots, my fault for not cleaning her before winter :( Sure they will disappear with bit of TLC though.
