There's little doubt that the 09 is an improvement but you might find that the RR06 has stronger residuals in the long term. A couple of Honda dealers implied as much to me due to their experience of these models on the used market. RR06 certainly a far better looking machine than the later model and well sorted. I think there was some issue with the early versions of the newer models but nothing that should stop you considering it. When I look back I will be glad I held onto my RR05!
Just out of interest, both models have the same seat height and the 09 is 0.2 of an inch shorter in the wheelbase but many people say the 09 feels smaller.
got me thinking, replacing the anvil on a RR9 Honda call an exhaust with some carbon goodness aren't you in affect raising the CoG?
Yes probably is that Black, there is not much between their respective overall weights. Swapped my exhaust for a full titanium one, the stock underseat exhaust is very heavy.
I would rather have the 06 on looks theres no competition and if you spend the extra on mods you can get the same if not better perfomance wouldn't swap my 06 for an 09 and i have riden one but that is only my opinion
I bought my RR8 a short while ago from a honda dealer I rode an RR6 and RR8 back to back. The RR8 was comfortably better - felt smaller, narrower tank, more comfortable, nicer engine, more enjoyable to ride. Definitely worth the difference
On the looks department!.. it's is a very personal thing and what ever Blade you have you'll love as it's your p&j and there's not a bad one amongst them and all very nice they are too Of course my one is the best of them all! Gorgeous and faultless!!... In my 600 days I opted for the 600f over the rr because I thot I.M.O it was better looking and a better bike all round I just love my HRC colours the SP just wouldn't have to same appeal in Repsol colours
