Had a great day out today, met at Dave at 7.30 and had a pre hack hack to the garage to meet the lads at 8am.

All going good but garage I'd planned to stop at had closed, run out of fuel but lucky Dave was there to offer a tow ;) lol

Met lads and headed out for a nice breakfast at hawkhurst fishing lakes, onto rye then Laguna Ashfords, split there and three lads headed home and sun shining tyres scrubbed, Dave and raff and I headed onto Canterbury for our fav road home.

In full flow and over the scala Dave called raff to stop as he was dumping oil / fluid big time. We wasn't hanging around so lucky really has his rad had blown big time! Spewing water and coolant all over him and his tyres.....

Used to be anti scala but pretty sure it saved his bike some serious damage and more importantly raff having an off :)

Anyway, picked him up and bike back so see if it can get repaired.

However all in all a great day out in glorious weather with the lads - really forgot how much I've missed. The road riding as I've been stuck in a little track bubble since end of last year trying to get the blade sorted.

    Loved it! Mint day....

Nice one dude.... same here mate..supposed to be back to lay some paving at lunch ish time, ended up being an all dayer on the bikes as we hit our mojo and didn't go home lol.

Agree on the Scalas, a mate had all his gearshift hanging off on the way home last year, he didn't notice...the scale alerted him to pull over so we could fix it up. great bits of kit and saved our bacon more than once....

Looks a good day - was in Matlock and it was heaving there. Feels like we have had a snowless winter which is amazing - did you notice shed loads of pot holes on your travels ? Up north roads are in terrible state, worse than after the cold winter of last year I think, can only think the endless rain has really had a bad impact on them.

Well caught in time. That could have been a nasty ending. Is that bike still under warranty.? It's a quite late gixxer.
Had too much to do here today would love to have come out though. What with Trit picking his bike up which I've looked after since September, clearing the garage out and football this afternoon. My Sunday was booked by other people.

Don't think warranty covers high speed bullet holes from stones mate :( but yeah caught it just in time. Luckily Dave was behind and could call it on scala ;)

Not too bad this end al. But they were a bit gritty / dusty in afternoon and greasy in the morning.

But not too shocking and decent considering we are early march.

Temp hit 21 degrees down here today :)

I bit the bullet and refused to listen to the voices in my head this weekend. There was so much to do in the garden after the carnage of the winter, I had a shoot on Saturday that took longer than I expected and my car was beginning to resemble a skip. So I listed the jobs and swore to myself they would get done regardless. 48 hours of hearing the bikes screaming down the bypass, plus the wife and the mother in law, of all people, nagging me to get the bike out.

But I knew it was a trap so I stuck to my guns and just accrued the brownie points.

There must be a karma thing too. As I left the village this morning, there was a bloke in a Bobcat with a mate holding a shovel, putting tarmac in the sinkholes in the road. So next weekend is definitely going to be a better ride out time.
