    Rob,
What rod are you using HM or R&G? Also if you don't mind what length is it?
    Cheers!

It's ok rob you don't have to tell him how long your rod is on the open forum

Sorry to butt in and perhaps state the obvious.

The rod length does have a dependency on the rearsets being used.

It was a HM rod Rob depends on rearsets but total length std is about 210mm and Gilles was 170 if I remember correctly but I am getting old and forgetful :(

Understand that Dave, I noted Rob was running with aftermarket rear sets and so will I. That's what prompted the question.

Why is something totally unnecessary so necessary?
My first run with QS fitted, outstanding !!! :D

Just needs a little fine tuning as it lurches a little when changing.

You said in your wright up that you have to fit the Sensor but it is not supplied ,don't want to sound a bit dim but what does this sensor look like as I've just brought a second hand quick shifter and I'm getting it fitted on Saturday and just wanted to make sure I had all the bits required

I'm not sure what Matt's on about either Clarkey??

The sensor is the red barrel type thing with H&M written on it and that's provided in all kits as it's integral to it's operation so can not be an 'option'.

AS far as I'm aware the only things that alter between bikes is the wiring looms and ordering the right length shift rod.

Not sure what ive said thats not understandable here??? Is that not the sensor in the second picture supplied by Jamie???

Picture 1 shows the HM Quickshifter kit in its black case.
Picture 2 shows Sensor fitted to shift rod...

I think JamieRep meant the Shift rod is not supplied and is an extra £15. The sensor is already part of the unit (the round red thing that attaches to the shift rod.)

Appears you misread what JamieRep put Clarkey. Only things needed are a shift rod and the correct loom and you're good to go.
