Well visited the Scottish bike show yesterday and was quite disappointed was great to see this years new models but gutted at the lack of decent traders if you were after really cheap leathers and boots or funny t shirts you would be in your element. I was after a gear indicator and rad guard managed to get a Beowulf rad guard for £45 other option was a power bronze one but holes on guard seemed really large and would have let stones through and was £5 dearer, nobody there had gear indicators so will keep looking on line. But all in all had some good crack with the lads I went up with and was better than sitting watching tv or shopping with the wife
I wish I could support this show been twice and always disappointed (IMO) always end up at NEC always bargains to be got there. Got £460 shoei helmet for £320, still advertised at £460.
I also went yesterday and thought it was the best show for a few years. I do agree with you about the merch , cheap shitty leathers etc should not be at the show.
We went today, and TBH it was the first disappointing show we had been to there. No BMW, no MV Agusta, just some cheap gear, jumble, gear for the Harley type bikers, loads of fancy fudge (Jaffa cake was ace). Was talking to Stuart Easton for a while as the wife knows him very well. Got a seat on the SP, found out the police unmarked interceptor for the west coast. But the highlight ? Freddie Spencer was there, and I could have listened to him all day long. Real living legend. The other highlight was the charity called Kirstyskids.org Really truly heartfelt inspirational. Continued on by her dad after her untimely death at just 19 years old. He rides her 125 for charity events and sponsored journeys. Truly humbled. Was a pity about the weather as we ended up going by car rather than the bikes.
Totally agree about the show.. average at best. Best thing I bought was moulded ear plugs - but takes 3 weeks to be delivered, then I found a stand that was making them in an hour! oh well, not the end of the world!
Unmarked black ZZR1400. Look for the wee LED strips on the handlebars for their flashers. They are looking to get them in the Borders as well, going by my discussion with the officers.
had a bmw up my arse the other night on the m8 coatbidge thought it was traffic cops pulled in let them by it was a young guy so pulled back out and blew him of the road why i dont know
what makes people think they can out ride a Blade or any powerful bike...always tempted to get lured in and have on occasions and wave bye bye as i disappear into the sunset
