I think I might know mike, ask him if he was in monteblanco with FE, if so say hi to him from the australian guy that lives in belgium!! have a good one
Awesome jase!! Glad your set up and rearing to go. As always, us Kent boys are busy getting ready with a few last minute "jobs" to sort... But will be there first thing ready for action! Can't wait.... Looks far more chilled doing it your way.... Although do have a little unveiling / test tomorrow (some know already) So watch this space lol
Picked a perfect day for it today have a fantastic time guys! Incase you hadn't get guess in essex speak I'm well jel..
Well what a day.... Bit of a day of two halves for me, was way more prepared than normal, jase had picked up my tyres for me when he got some before hand, unloaded the van and put fairings on the bike, all ready to rock, signed on, briefing sorted.... Was very foggy so they announced they would start a bit later once the fog lifted and Run through lunch. Happy days. Gives me plenty of time to get my tyres fitted. "Oh, and sorry but no tyre service here today....." Shite.... Not too impressed tbh as I checked website to make sure.... They guys on the day were helpful and gave me some local places to try. So off to town to beg a shop to fit my tyres. Found a place but then had to go to another to get balanced.... Proper nightmare By the time I got back, I'd missed the first session, got my sighting laps ticked off in novice and rushed straight out in fast, was a bit "stressed" at this point so that session was a write off, was all over the show.... Came in to only find they had now stopped for lunch!?!? Anyway, prob best thing for me, as gave me a chance to chill out and get ready for afternoon.... Which was bloody brilliant! Three great sessions, no flags, busy but not too busy and had a few little tussles with jase and Navvy.... Weather superb and really gave me a chance to try and learn the track ready for a fortnights time As always, great laugh and banter, and few beers last night with the boys after at the pub we was staying in was ace... Great way to finish the day. Even if one of us was a little tired lol - ill let jase tell ya this one.... Shattered now, but feel way better than I did after acu / td other week so all good!!
Didn't take many pics but here are a few.... Finally chilling Jase doing..... Something?? Nice place near the track to stop over! Happy days
Awesome days with all the boys!! Great bit of fun with Jase and Jimbo on track and big thanks to Dave for the banana.....
Like Jimbo had a mixed start to events- wheel bearings needed doing on the 929 and as always nothing better than leaving it to the day before. Well, my bearing puller's down the main man cave so set to work with what I had at home. Back bearings done fine but could I get one side out from the front, like fook could I. Four hours later, outer shell still in the wheel and the actual wheel looking like It needs replacing. Didn't really want to take the RRA on the track but thought this would be the only option, providing I could borrow Jimbo's spare can as there would be no chance of te bike passing noise test with the racefit. Quick message to Jimbo asking if I could borrow the can was met with "it's down the cave mate and besides why don't you just use my R1" Not many people would lend someone there road bike to track- what a top mate. Was very nervous during the first couple of sessions, then started to fill at one with the bike- in fact loved it, great bike and the brand new P4's were impressive too. Great day, great company- thanks for letting me scrub your new tyres in dude. Missed hammertime, as after a promising start I fell asleep at the table!
Video of Jimbo and me chasing each other around Snetty until we come across a very close near miss for me at the end of the back straight!!! Need to add this is before we realised Jimbo's baffle was killing his power severely and needed removing
Video of Jimbo's overtake of my brother on his big bang R1, skip to 1min through if you just want to see the action. Jimbo is frantically chasing me down having agreed to give me a big headstart due to road tyres and no warmers haha
Pants needed changing after that one mate!! Video doesn't look anywhere near as bad as it was. Jimbo had ringside seats for it LOL
