Just another SP owner with 2 bobs of feedback on the machine. Mine arrived this week, one of only 28 available down under. Finish - cannot fault, decals are where they should be Fuelling - Crisp and a tad smoother that my MY12 and that was sublime anyway. The low down drive train snatch is less apparent too Brakes - Solid and effortless but some race braided lines will do the setup justice. Non-ABS model and glad! SP - They invest in a special seat cowl but can't even throw an SP decal somewhere?? Glad licencing down here helped out so I do not lose her Power - the step at 6k is more noticeable. Have not sampled the top end quite yet but with this amount of midrange there's enough to entertain while running in. Transmission/gearing - smooth as butter. Will drop a tooth on the front just to help with the pickup Finishing comments - losing that rear fender section next week along with hero knobs. Those standard levers don't do the package justice and are going. Really they should have fitted a quickshifter standard. A little carbon wouldn't hurt either. How Honda could hide those calipers behind a reflector is amusing but a simple fix. More exciting developments to come soon just like the sunshine down here! Regards, Dave
Hey mate, I got one too, the only one to hit the top end. the bike arrived at the dealer Friday and I'll pick it up next week. Non-ABS too! You say there is no SP decal, they should have put a nice aluminium plug in between the handlebars instead of the plastic cap! Otherwise it is gorgeous and the poor HP4 on the other side of the showroom wasn't getting much attention
There are a few disappointed dealers down here and a few let down customers as a result. My MY12 ABS felt lazy compared to the new beast. Some track time should help me recalibrate. Very Happy
