I noticed on the pics I posted that someone commented that my pins went in further. I don't suppose that some of you haven't removed the original nuts when screwing the female tube nut in? As this would result in the lift not getting close enough to the bike. The lower pin would not go all the way in and would result in it leaning. Photos of ur problems are always helpful.
The problem I'm going to have is fitting rearsets. I must make sure not to buy ones with the gear lever connected to the footrest, as it will be in the way of the lift.

    this is my problem..
    Warrior stand DT - YouTube

the handle won't lock, so before I even try and sort out lifting both wheels or getting it straight, I want this sorted first...

    what do you think?

If it needs to go back than I wont even both with a new one, to much hassle, I will just buy a front paddock stand instead ;)

I had this problem yesterday, Skippy. It's the threaded bar that joins the handle to the lifting mechanism that needs shortening a bit. Easiest way I found was to take the pin out that secures the bottom link, give it a few turns to shorten it, stick the pin back in and then try again. Mine locks fine now.

I emailed customer service yesterday regarding this warning and asking if they could be a bit more specific regarding the problem that exists with the stand but the reply that came today merely stated as above.
Should be interesting to see the outcome of this investigation, it may turn out to be a simple fix but we shall see

I Had a problem with the outer sleeve pin which attaches to the top mounting bolt on the bike whilst tightening the bolt up the spanner that i was using slipped, At first i put it down to me being too heavy handed BUT it wasn't until i was trying to locate the stands pin to the bike some 15mins of not getting anywhere that i found the sleeve had gone out of shape and that in its self was more of the reason for the spanner slipping so the pin was never going to locate!! Had to re-order another pin set and have just sent the other pins back for a refund. :(
I am a little concerned like others have stated about the lean of the bike when its on the stand.

I've sent an email to andy to forward onto customer service stating that if there wasn't a quick solution that doesn't require any fabricating or work done to the pins or stands that I would be buying a front paddock stand (what I need, as I have a rear one already) and returning this one as I need one by wednesday next week and beleive I have been patient enough after asking for one early december, but I start with my trackdays and racing on wednesday and can't go without one. I already had to borrow one to go to spain last month, and will not be begging to borrow another one next week.......

the problems I have with it gets worse the more time I spend on it, yesterday was nearly 4 hrs alone, and I am not a bit closer to an outcome, the plate is off, pins are off, and stand is just standing there...

Problems with the email have something to do with the wheels

Out of the 20+ folk that ordered this stand there seems to be only a handful of complaints regarding the lifting ability of the stand, does this mean that the complainants have received a faulty stand/adapter plate?? I went back the whole thread and some people got their stands fairly quick after ordering so were these stands good to go from the offset?
maybe we should get some dimensions from some of the early delivery stands and compare to our faulty ones and see if we can come up with a remedy to fix ours so we can put this saga to bed and get on with it

I reckon the whole problem is that the bottom pins isn't sitting high enough on the plate, and that the bottom pins goes into the bike too far that makes the bike angle...

solution - different pins so they both go in right to the end and not half and then the bottom pins goes in even further, and that where the bottom pins sit on the plate removing another CM will do the trick, then thats about it.... but I don't feel like bringing the plate to a fabricator to fix it and paying him 20-50€, so either I get another plate sent that works or they arrange to pick it up...

and btw, no faulting andy as his CS is spot on....

    hey guys,

i added a 'sleeve' on the bottom pin so it wouldnt go in that far and the end result was that the top pin was coming back out, let's say between 0,5 and 1 cm. So no real improvement for me, that sleeve on the bottom pin. If(and if) i'm correct, that leaves me no choice but to look at the wheels which look clumsy and not properly balanced. And all-in-all, its not leaning over "pisa style" :)

The only thing i would do is shorten both pins by 1 - 1.5 cm to get the bike closer to the stand to reduce forces on the pins.

BUT, i want to know what DT has to say in followup of their mail cause for all i know, their issue(s) lie(s) elsewhere.
    Cheers!

The bottom pin is only there to adjust the front to back level of the bike. The top pin should fit into the supplied frame nut replacement socket so tightly, there would be no side to side lean. It's the fitting of this replacement socket that sounds wrong if you are getting tip. image.jpg

    UPDATE...............PLEASE READ

    Dear valued customer,

Further to our correspondence regarding your recently purchased Warrior Spider Stand.
We kindly request you refrain from using your stand for the moment, this is due to an unplanned and un-communicated change in castor specification by the manufacturer. We have been in touch with the factory who are forwarding to us the correct castors which we will be sending to you as soon as they arrive with us here. Although we cannot currently provide an exact time scale for this, we anticipate 14 working days, should this change we will contact you to advise.
Very sorry for any inconvenience caused, we want you to enjoy using your spider stand and felt this uninformed change in specification may affect this. We ask please hold off using the stand until you have received and fitted the replacement castors.
Should you wish to speak to us with regards to the matter, please contact our Customer Service Team on 01978 663000.

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

The customerservice thinks so, but I don't either and have purchased a front paddock stand to complete my other set and am waiting for them to sort out a pick up so I can return it. They have already confirmed that they will refund it.

I do admit though that even though the product is crap, their customer service is second to none and so is Andy's..
thanks for getting this sorted for me DT!!

I did look into getting one of these for my CB1000R but Demon Tweeks said they could not get the adaptors !!! Having looked at this thread and looking at the price.... i think i have had a lucky escape ! I think i will go for the Abba skylift, more cash maybe.... but when a £9k bike is on it i think the old saying '' you get what you pay for'' becomes more important.
