Down the Honda dealers this morning to get the first of the goodies for the new Blade. Thought I better start of with a paddock stand and bobbins, just thinking about what next to get as it'll soon be pay day, any suggestions? also need some form of chain lube at the moment it seems to have like a white waxy one on the chain that seems to be getting slung all over the back end of the bike which doesn't look bonny white waxy dots on my gleaming black paintwork.
One goody worth paying out for: suspension set up properly for your weight. Not sure who or where up north but worth every penny.Mine cost £25 and 45 minutes to get right.
If you are getting a black one I would suggest a good tank pad and stomp grips or something similar as mine scuffed up within 200 miles (and I don't tend to grip with my knees). Not trying to put you off, they do look stunning, but the paint does seem to be a bit soft.
Definitely get your suspension sorted. I used Sinewaves settings as he is a similar weight to me, and By heck the bike is Loads better and I though there was nothing wrong when I started. and as for lube, Ive just bought some Wurth Dry Chain lube as it was HIGHLY recommended on here (and yep like you I have sticky jizz off my new chain all over my swing arm)
already got a tank pad on it and yip the pads are getting put on soon as it has started to mark already on the tank sides after 400 miles, have you fitted them on yours?
Yes, I fitted them on Saturday evening. Looks good. They suggest that you don't ride the bike for 24 hours and the glue is fully cured after 72 hours.
