here is a weather site i use, not sure how accurate these are but it does give you track temp too Weather forecast for Cadwell Park Circuit | Motorsport | United Kingdom
Well I made it back in 1 piece. Awesome day and decent weather, but I still feel that I need to be quicker and I'm nut sure I'm on the right bike to try harder with. This is the only pic I took, but had some fun with the GoPro mounts, so will upload those later.
Because its really just a sports tourer. I found that the back started squirming slightly when piling on the front brakes at speed, so i had the front stiffened up, but i think its still doing it, mainly at the end of the Park straight after going flat out through 4th and then hard down in to 2nd for the right hander, and again down in to Mansfield.
I'm certainly no expert in the field Gary, but I'd give it another few chances if I was you, like myself, we're both relativly new to the track day circuit, you've a minter there mate, so before you make any hasty decisions get to know the bike & yourself a little better, try a few different venues and make sure it's not in your head.
No harm in that, i'd probably not get permission from her indoors just yet anyway, plus it does sound good on the overrun, pop pop bang
If the back's only squirming slightly then you're not breaking hard enough!! Don't give up on it, they're very good bikes and what you probably need is to get the suspension guy on board for the day. Explain to him what you're feeling and there's a good chance he'll sort it. For £45 a day what have you got to lose?
Muff, when you're really hard on the brakes and I mean really hard, the whole bike squirms under you! I think I can brake hard but just when you think you're really on the limit some geyser will come underneath you and outbrake you leaving you thinking WTF!!!
Yeah there was a few places where I thought I was doing well until some dude went round me on the outside, fortunately he had a big yellow circle on his back with No Limits written inside I thought that when I read the thread, seems more of our guys in that group and would be a great opportunity to share footage.
Always someone faster muff.... Just get out there and enjoy the day....I got spanked by an old(er) gentleman on a bm at Snet!! Couldn't get anywhere near him chatting to him after and he's 5 miles up the road and there twice a week! Apparently "mid pack fast" at other tracks but jeez was he quick at Snet.... I'd stick with the bike for a while, and as Gary says, try a few other tracks and gain some experience. Don't get hung up on pace.... Just adds pressure IMO
Fair comment. Just cut a few sections of videos together. 4 laps from 4 different mounting positions. Enjoy
Rich, I only realised it was your home track that you know backwards after the event. At least I had the balls to take it to you in your back yard! A year later and you've still not returned the favour!
I haven't got a track bike anymore funds won't allow at minute spent up on a career change. Still got the BMW but its a road bike mate. Need to get a 1000 next year no good beating you on a 600 again.
